Each year, the Summit offers a global stakeholder platform for the world’s corporate, financial and political leaders to discuss, develop and accelerate solutions to climate change. TIME & PLACE The World Climate Summit 2013 is scheduled to take place on November 16-17, 2013 in Warsaw, Poland, alongside the UNFCCC COP 19. ABOUT WCS Relevant & Complementary – The Summit, alongside the UNFCCC COP process, addressing top-down policies while offering bottom-up solutions. Global Multi-Stakeholder Leadership – targeting the 500+ government, finance and business leaders, whilst encouraging multi-level, multi-stakeholder and public- private collaborations to benchmark, develop and scale new projects and business models. Engaging & Shaping the Climate Agenda – connected to an online community of over 13,000 opinion leaders, combined with opportunities to network and build partnerships with over 600 decision-makers in the climate space. All working together to shape the global climate agenda. TARGET GROUP The high-level conference is aimed at the climate arena’s leading 500+ decision- makers: CEOs, thought-leaders, business executives, investors, entrepreneurs, philanthropic figures, national, regional and city leaders. By gathering a cross- organisational segment of high-level influencers the summit aims to facilitate public/private partnerships, and bottom-up solutions across a wide range of industries and sectors. 2013 THEMES World Climate Ltd is currently consulting with its partners and other stakeholders on appropriate themes for 2013. WCS is testing, among others a focus on “The Road to COP 21” (the year for a global agreement), with sub-themes like Business Leadership, Public-Private Partnerships in Policy Development and Implementation; Financing the green change (Green Climate Fund, Public Private Funds), Shaping a sustainable future (Energy mix, energy efficiency, energy-water-food nexus). WCS is also testing a focus on Poland, Eastern Europe, EU and its relations with the rest of the world. FORMAT The summit will last 1 to 2 days and will consist of the following elements: § Keynote plenary sessions addressing the major issues (Ministerial & CEO-level) § Networking sessions, to exchange and promote projects & solutions § Roundtables and workshops for in-depth discussions § Bilateral meetings between the public and private sector § Lunch and cocktail reception

PARTNERS The World Climate Summit works with global media corporations such as Thomson Reuters, TIME & Financial Times, the climate arena’s strongest institutional partners, and the most relevant decision-makers and leaders. The 2013 summit is set to succeed the summits in Cancun (2010), Durban (2011), and Doha (2012), which were supported by more than 40 sponsors such as Siemens, Coca-Cola, and Philips; 50 different institutional partners including OECD, and World Bank; and more than 300 leaders including President Zuma, President Calderon, Sir Richard Branson, Ted Turner, Christiana Figueres, Mary Robinson, Lord Stern and Ministers from Qatar. IMPACT Last year’s record-breaking climate effects underpins the need for urgent action. We can no longer afford a status quo. From now on, the World Climate Summit will focus on commitments, actions and results.
