WORKSHOP ON TUESDAY 10 MARCH 2015– MAURITS CORNELIUS ESCHER

Purposes: awareness spatial relationships the relationship between the direction of art and

the world of maths

Theme: Maurits Cornelius Escher, symmetry

A form of work: interpretation of artwork - team work

Equipment and materials: coloured paper, scissors, pencils, glue, rubber, ruler, templates, well-chosen theme any size

1. Motivation – Who is M.C. Escher? PowerPointPresentation – a form of the questions and the answers

2. Game – choose the picture and the word – from the presentation

WORKSHOP ON THURSDAY 12 MARCH 2015 – ANIMATION

Purposes: awareness of spatial relationships the relationship between art direction and the

direction of mathematics and engineering

Theme: Maurits Cornelius Escher, animal in animation

A form of work: a team work

Equipment and materials: geometric shapes, paper, paints, crayons, tape for fixedly attaching the background, camera, a tripod, PC with Windows Live Movie Maker – freeware

1. Motivation: demonstrations of short animations processed in the program Windows Live Movie Maker – freeware, stop-motion techniques

2.The Theme: selected topic - Animals

3.Demonstration of how to work: arrangement of geometric shapes in the form of animals - inspiration

painting, drawing an appropriate background - application of imagination

4. Work with the camera: camera must be set to the smallest distinction, image size (S), with the flash off

one movement = one phototake pictures motion of the subject on the background, the subject is on the table, or on the ground

5. The work with the PC in program Windows Live Movie Maker – tutorial

6. Produce a short film

7. Join presentation of films

8. The Feedback, evaluation of the lesson

WORKSHOP ON FRIDAY 13 MARCH 2015 –

ERASMUS PLUS RACE There are 6 teams of these countries – Czech

Republic, Finland, France, Greece, Poland and Turkey

Children visit 6 sites and on every site performs tasks related to arts and maths

Children run on time Which team wins, gets the cup filled with sweets

The sites: 1. - Arrange geometric shapes - block

composition, pyramid, cube - fold flakes and then paint the flakes

2. - The Tangram - from various geometric shapes fold the pattern

3. - Sudoku - with illustrations by Josef Lada Add the pictures so that each row, each column

and in each square was highlighted each image just once

4. - Assemble the puzzle with the help solve the correct arithmetic operations

5. - Criss cross - search in the classroom the pictures with characters from fairy-tales, on the other side of the picture you will find an symbol and number, give the symbol to the table, find all the symbols and pictures. After that you became an encryption table and solve the crossword.
