PROGRAMME OBJECTIVE
CFD has become widely used in many industry
sectors. Engineers and academicians should learn the
strength and limitations of numerical techniques in order to
gain maximum from limited resources. It is also important to
know how to interpret the results in order to avoid common
pitfalls.
This one day workshop on computational fluid
dynamics covers both basic and advanced levels of CFD and
its influence on heat transfer and fluid flow analysis. The
program is intended to deliver the best practices in
academics and industries.
Discussions are entertained and emphasis is laid on
the theoretical background. The course is completely code
independent, and the training program will cultivate the
interest in writing own or customized CFD codes from pre
processing, grid generation to post processing the results.
TOPICS TO BE COVERED
Basic concepts of CFD Governing Equation for fluid flow and heat transfer
analysis Hands on training on CFD Modeling, grid generation
and Post processing for basic fluid flow and heat transfer applications
SPEAKERS
The resource persons will be from leading academic
institutes such as Vellore Institute of Technology and PSG
College of Technology.
ELIGIBILITY
Faculty of Engineering and Polytechnic Colleges
and Practicing Engineers in Industries and R & D
Organizations.
Registration Fee: Rs. 300/- per participant.
The duly filled registration form along with a Demand Draft
drawn in favour of The Principal, PSG College of
Technology payable at Coimbatore.
