Today you will:• Play team building games (yes, even you teachers!)• Play the ‘Pretend to be…’ acting game• Participate in a workshop about acting AND ‘the space race’• Watch a performance by us!

• By the time you leave, you should not only have learnt about ‘The Space Race’ and acting… But had fun too!

Fruit Salad

• You are now in two circles• You are each going to be given a

fruit!• When the person in the middle

calls your fruit, stand up and swap seats with someone else who stood up!

• Try and get there fast because you don’t want to be left in the middle!

• If I call fruit salad… Everyone swap!

Remember!• There is going to be a lot of

people moving around, so be extra careful when trying to get to a chair.

• Do not fight over chairs. If you end up in the middle, target a chair for the next round!

• Overall, be aware of who is moving where and be careful. Nothing ruins fun like an accident!

Hula-Hoops

Step 3 Using teamwork and communication, travel across the room

Step 4 Race to the other side of the room and aim to win!

You will now be split into Groups of 4-5 people andEach team will be given Two Hula-Hoops!

You are going to need to communicate and use teamwork to win this race!

Group Exercise

• You are now going to go into groups of 4-5 people

• Each group will have a character• You will practice acting as that

character… become that character!

• How does your character walk and talk?

• How do they stand or sit?• Why are they involved?

• Now you are going to be put into different groups

• There will be one character in each group

• With the lines and your new acting skills, you are going to perform!

• Don’t be scared!• You will all be amazing!
