    Dear Delegate,

    Welcome to Workshop on Perinatal Asphyxia and Therapeutic Hypothermia scheduled to be held at

    the Casino Hotels, Thrissur, Kerala on 1stDec 2013 from 8 AM -4:30 PM.

    Perinatal Asphyxia continues to be a major challenge in India. Even when therapeutic hypothermia is

    proven to reduce the neuro morbidity in moderately asphyxiated babies, exposure to this relatively

    newer mode of therapy is very limited in our country. The aim of this workshop is to sensitize the

    relevance of this therapy and the issues related to cooling babies in resource limited setting.

    Here are a few housekeeping informationregarding the workshop:

    1. Registration will commence at the venue from 8:00 am onwards

    2. Please be seated in the Venue- Hall A (Main hall) by 8:55 am (5mins. before the first talk).

    3. Please do not forget to "switch on" your mobile phone during coffee and lunch break.

    4. Working Breakfast will be provided (after registration) from 8.15 am to 8.45 am.

    5. Souvenir CD containing workshop manual and presentation handouts will be distributed at the time

    of registration.6. Enclosed herewith is the final program brochure. In order to derive maximum benefit from the

    program, you are requested to come prepared and interact well with the Faculty throughout the

    duration of the workshop. An open house panel discussion is also arranged at the end of the program

    for additional interaction.

    7. Workstations: You will be divided into 3 groups at the time of Registration.

    There will be 4 workstations during the program from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm conducted in the

    following halls: Hall A (Main hall in 1st

    Floor), Hall B (Adjacent Hall) and Hall C (Ground Floor)

    12:30 pm- 1:30 pm: Concurrent workstation on Neurosonogram in all 3 halls

    2:00 pm 3:30 pm: Three Rotating workstations (on Supportive management, Cooling Devices &

    Protocol and CFM) in the 3 halls.

    Kindly proceed to your respective workstations as directed from 12: 30 pm onwards in order to

    avoid time delay.

    8. Certificate of participation will be distributed at the end of the workshop.
