Workshop Open Data Solutions for Rural Development and Inclusive Growth in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Hotel Haritha Plaza, Begumpet, Hyderabad September 4, 2014 8:30 – 17:25 The World Bank and the Governments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will organize an interac;ve idea;on workshop on Open Data to bring together key open data stakeholders including government officials, development prac;;oners, health, educa;on, agriculture, retail, and other subject maEer experts, entrepreneurs, ICT firms and academic and research ins;tu;ons to discuss open data solu;ons for rural development and inclusive growth in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The workshop will showcase the uses of Open Data in India and in the rest of the world, with a focus on the development issues addressed in the World Bank Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Rural Inclusive Growth Project, and help outline the necessary steps to use Open Data effec;vely to deliver development benefits. The workshop will consist of two parts. The first part will focus on knowledge sharing of global and Indian good prac;ces, successful solu;ons and lessons learned; collec;ng feedback from par;cipants and discussing priori;es for the open data ini;a;ve in the rural space. There will be presenta;ons by Government officials and the World Bank experts presen;ng examples from around the world, India and within the two states. The aNernoon workshop session will focus on iden;fying and elabora;ng high priority challenges and brainstorming on possible open data enabled solu;ons based on successful use cases.
