It can be made using a variety of materials including spray paint, house paint, stencils, posters, installations and sculpture. Jean-Michele Basquiat (1960 - 1988) was an American Neo-Expressionist street artist. He incorporated many symbols and figures into his artworks, which often carried a political or social message. [Acrylic and oilstick on canvas]. ACTIVITY: Follow the step-by-step instructions below to DRAW your dinosaur. Then using coloured pencils or textas, COLOUR in your dinosaur and then your background (you can overlap colours and don’t need to stay completely in the lines - this makes your artwork more expressive). Now WRITE your name under your dinosaur with a Copyright “©” at the end! EXTRA CHALLENGE: DRAW your favourite animal with a grey lead pencil, then add some elements of Basquiat’s style into your picture such as a crown your animal's head, repeating words along the sides of the page, overlapping lines and colours, and your name followed by a “©” at the bottom of the page.

Street Art is art that's created in a public space, sometimes without permission. It can be

made using a variety of materials including spray paint, house paint, stencils, posters,

installations and sculpture.

Jean-Michele Basquiat (1960 - 1988) was an American Neo-Expressionist street artist. He

incorporated many symbols and figures into his artworks, which often carried a political or

social message.
