CTE concentrator OR
you’ve completed 2 CTE

Q: Are the questions easy?
A: Questions vary in levels of
difficulty. Level 3 are easier
questions and Level 7 are more
challenging questions.
Q: Can I use a calculator for the
Applied Math test?
A: Yes. You may use any four-
function, scientific, or graphing
calculator. However, there is a list
of prohibited calculators – see the
website for a detailed list.

Q: What’s the highest score I
can earn?
A: Platinum – Scores at least a
6 on each test. Has skills for
99% of jobs profiled.
A: Gold – Scores at least a 5 on
each test. Has skills for 90% of
jobs profiled.
A: Silver – Scores at least a 4
on each test. Has skills for 65%
of jobs profiled.
A: Bronze – Scores at least a 3
on each test. Has skills for 35%
of jobs profiled.
Scenario: if a student scores a 6
on Math, 3 on Locating
Information and a 4 on Reading
they would earn a “3” which
would be a Bronze certificate.

Q: What do I need to do the
day of the test?
A: Report to 1st period for
attendance and quickly
report to your testing room.
Teachers have a Google
Doc called “WorkKeys
2014” which shows the
students, test date and
testing room.
Q: Do I need to take
anything to the testing
room?
A: Pencil and calculator.
Cell phones will be collected
on this day during the test.

If a student earns a Level 4 or higher (silver, gold or platinum certificate) on the ACT WorkKeys you will be able to participate in a special event sponsored by NC National Guard.
The Paint Ball Arena is a 40 foot by 80 foot enclosed inflatable arena with inflatable obstacles inside. The arena comes with paintball markers, and safety equipment to field up to two teams of five at once. The Arena can be used for a wide range of scenarios and is great for participants and spectators alike.
The mobile rock wall is 28 foot tall with four climbing lanes. The climbers are attached with a harness to a cable, which insures climber safety at all times.
