Frame overlay on Facebook

This simple idea will represent people who joined to the action via Facebook.

On the ABSL Facebook’s profile picture you will find our customized frame

overlay. Celebrate diversity and inclusion in the workplace with us by

applying this frame to your profile photo – encourage your employees to do

the same! Let’s use our voices, faces and colors to express how we envision

the inclusive. We are excited to see more of #WorkingTogether2020 faces,

so use the hashtag to help us find our allies!

Your employees can write a description why they use the frame. Our

recommendation is:

I apply #WorkingTogether frame because I support diversity and inclusion at

a workplace. I think that we should all celebrate diversity every day to foster

openness to our uniqueness.

Inclusive language campaign

In the second week of October we will distribute

educational materials and tips on how to communicate

inclusively and how our language determines our

behaviors . We encourage you to conduct internal

workshops on language culture.

Human Library

Slogan: “How does it feel to be in each other’s shoes?”: Inspired by the Human Library (having people represent books that you

can book for a specific amount of time and know their stories)

Rules:• Find people in you company with different life stories which relate to diversity and inclusion – the aim of this action is to show that people are different

and this is a beauty in humanity

• Remember to have an even number of people who want to take part in action – every book has to have a ‘reader’.

• Organize a meeting for people or online session. One online room for one human book and the reader. We recommended 15 minutes on every ‘book’

and 1 hour for the whole library. People can read a variety of books. After that make a discussion with ‘books’ and ‘reader’.

• Make poster with the stories of people who want to share their story in the whole company.

Mural

Slogan: Diverse and Included

• Idea: Leave all trendy slogans behind, let’s write what we want, let’s describe the better workplace we look for

• Online: Organizing a freestyle design space online where people can click a link and share their feelings about

diversity and inclusion (you can use Mural application – we tried this, and it works perfectly okay. You can find this

tool here: https://www.mural.co/)

• Offline: make a space for employees where they can creatively write words, ideas, connotation about diversity and

inclusion

• Publish those murals on your company social media and sent them to us 😊

• The tittle of the mural: DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION MATTTER BECAUSE…/DIVERSE IS BEAUTIFUL

DECLARATION OF DIVERSITY

This year we would like to create a joint declaration of diversity for our sector to show our commitment to building inclusive

workplace.

Rules:

We will consult with you our proposal of the declaration (5th October)

We will encourage you to sign the declaration and share your support with the external world (15th October)

We will encourage you to promote the declaration among your employees. They will have a chance to express their support as

well (15th October)
