PRACTICALS
1. Correct the following circuit.
Ans: The solar PV panel generates DC voltage. There has to be a DC to AC convertor
before connecting the panel to the output. Put a DC-AC converter (An inverter)
between the Panel and the bulb.
2. Choose the right transformer used in an inverter.
Ans. (b) is right because inverter needs a step up transformer.

Ans:
Module Size: 12V- 75Wp SPV 2 rows X 4 Nos. connected in parallel
Inverter: 800VA,
Battery: 24 V-2 X 12 V- 240AH
Distance Between SPV module & Inverter Room: 8mtrs.
Battery/ Cable Size: From the chart given. (select based on the current taken from the
module technical specifications and the distance given)
5. Maintenance and troubleshooting exercise. The system thatyou have designed, install it and execute all the maintenanceand troubleshooting exercises covering checking the modulecable connections, voltage drop across the cable, and as per thechapter given.
