FRANCIS JACQUERYE

Masters of Arts in Design

Francis Jacquerye completed a Master's Degree at the University of Kent in Rochester, UK,after a Bachelor's Degree in design at the Institut Saint‐Luc in Liège, at the border ofBelgium, Netherlands and Germany.

After a position as Interior Architect near Brussels, Belgium, he relocated to Milan, Italy, toinitially work as a Communication Designer. In 2001, his first published watch designreceived first prize of the prestigious Shonan World Design Award. The creation of anotherwatch invention, an invisible buckle, opened the doors to an in‐house designer position foran Italian watch company. While in Italy, Francis also enlisted in the Scuola Orafa Ambrosianato learn goldsmithing and acquire a better undersanting of luxury watches manufacturing.

In 2007 Francis relocated to the Swiss Watchmaking Valley to work for one of the country'sleading watch companies, where he was promoted to Lead Designer and CompetitiveIntelligence Manager. During this time, he also studied Practical Watchmaking in Geneva andProject Management. In late 2013, Francis left his in‐house position to open his own studiowith the focus on using his skills and expertise for established companies and start‐ups.

Francis can offer services in the fields of design, product development, communicationdesign, branding and strategy.

Using his understanding of gold smithingand watchmaking techniques, Francis cre‐ates novel designs that incorporate ele‐ments of a brand's history.

With his skills in Competitive Intelligence,Francis can conceptualize designs that willbe riding at the forefront of a trend wave.

Relying upon his experience in CommunicationDesign, the expert can create packing, displays,logotypes, pictograms, icons and markings thatconvey the brand's values and identity.
