This three stories office building is designed for a chemical factory in Chinas countryside. The owner wants this building to fit into the modern factory but still integrate with some traditional Chinese architectural figures. The design concept is inspired by the traditional Chinese gardens in Suzhou. The programs are arranged along the corridor that maintains the same principle of the ambulatory in a Chinese garden. The circuitous design maximize the view from different angles and gives certain privacy to different uses. The design of the south facade is more transparent than the north side to maximize the solar gain and block the northwest cold air in winter. The lifted artificial landscape is stacked by the earth from the foundation of the building. The east part of the building will be sitting on the landscape and leaves the cantilever for parking.

During the internship, I worked closely with the project architect on the residential development of the Sanya Phoenix Island. This portion is located between the sport center and the hotels. I participated in the Villa Mountain masterplan design and modelling in Maya and Rhino based on the existing materials. Proposing the landscape design and the villa arrangement for review by the landscape architects. Preparing the meeting materials including calculation, vi-sualization and drawings. Testing various types of villa design via 3D software and preparing renderings for internal communications.
