PREVIOUS WORK
Some of the earliest reported work carried out on this property was done by John Reid in 1910. He reported gold values at that time, v/h i eh ranged from SO. 60 to 320.67 per ton. These assay results were apparently taken from a 5 foot channel sample.
The following is an abbreviated list of the past history of exploration on the property.
1910 - J.A.Re i d(engineer) , sampled qtz vein on ci. 1139546
1912 - W.A.Campbell reports the presence of "much free gold" at a depth of 13 ft.(pit), on ci. 1206604.
1923 - Property first actively worked by Ridgegoid Porcupine Mines Ltd., inc.uding trencn.nq and diamond drilling.
..925 - Ogden Twp. mappec oy Hawley', 1926; or tne Ontario Depart. Q- lil nes .
-929 - Two compartment shaft s un':', t o 123 it., crosscut dr.ven tc intersect tne vein with l'* tt. or drirting.
1930 - Ridgegoid WOTK discontinued because oi economic reasons.
1940 - Trenching ana sampling oy Sylvanite Go.d li i nes.
1955 - -lapped oy Carlson* 19 6 6 ; , 0.3.11.
1975 - Magnetic survey/diamona drilling by Goshawk Mines Limitea.
1930 - Amax Exploration flew airoorne magnetic and EH survey over Ogden and other townships.
1984 - VLF-EM survey by Hibbard, Karpovitch, and Rousseau.
1994 - Anderson, ground Mag/VL? survey ci. 1189546.
GENERAL GEOLOGY
The Ogden Township Property lies within the Abitibi Greenstone Belt.
Locally, the property is shown to be underlain by felsic volcanics, and sediments on the extreme southern part of the property as shown tay Map 2205 Timmins-Kirkland Lake Geological Compilation Series and Map P341, Prelim Ogden Twp., Geological Map. The previously surveyed northwest part of the property has a 500 ft wide shear zone with numerous quartz veins some of which had greater than 1.0 oz/ton Au. reported in the files.
The Paradise Creek fault is shown to traverse the south- central part of the property with some cross faulting.
WORK PROGRAM
The work conducted on the Ogden Township Property was carried out in February, 1997. The project consisted of linecutting and ground Magnetic Survey, described below.
.inecuttina
The previous grid(l994) cue on claim 1189546 was extended no cover the entire property at 100m line interval and 25m pickets, north-south. The pickets are marked with inscribed aluminum Tags. A total of 40.Ckm of lines were cut during this current program.
Magnetic Survey
A total oz 33.5km o" ground Magnetic Survey was completed o the above lines. The data was .eveiieo. and merged with the previous survey and the results pcsted anc contoured in pia.i t^r (Hap No.i).
An 5DA OMNI PLUS Proton Precession magnetometer was used -o carry out the magnetometer survey. The instrument is synchronized with an ZDA recorcing case' si^tion to nelp eliminat magnetic ciurnal variation. Thi'%. should ensure an accuracy 01 less than 10 Nt.
The Frocon Precession mechod invoi/e^ energizing a \;,re coi immersed in a hydrocarbon fluid. Tn^s causes -he protons in tne proton rich rime) 10 spin or precess simulating spinning magneti dipoles. When tne current is removec tne protons precess about the direction of the earth's magnetic z^eld, generating a signal in the same coil which is proportional to the total magnetic field intensity. In tnis way, the horizontal gradient of the earth's magnetic field can be measured and plofcec in plan formwith values of equal intensity joined to form a contour map. This presentation is useful in correlating with other cata sets to aid in structural interpretation. Individual magnetic responses can be interpreted for dip, depth and width estimates after profiling the data.
The following parameters were employed for the survey:

MAGNETIC SURVEY RESULTS
The magnetic survey conducted on the Ogden Township Property was successful in outlining a number of features.
The eastern portion of the grid, south of the base line, shows the most magnetic change. A high extends east-west from L7E/100S to L21E/50S, and possibly extending off the grid to the west on L4W/225S. Ogden Twp. Preliminary Hap P-341 shows this feature to be coincident with the Paradis Creek Fault. This zone is broken along its strike length in the area of L2E and L16E. This may be the result of cross structures.
The second feature outlined in this area strikes from LilE/6753 to L20S/S50S, and remains open to the east. Hap P-341 shows iron formation occurring on strike and to the east of this zone, which likely explains its response. Tne Ogden Twp. vGS, AEH Hap No.61086, shows 3 conductors coincident with this zone between HE and 16E. A similar magnet!: response wit.i a soutn flanking AEH conductor occur.?, en L23Z/250S and could ;:e an offset extension of t.tis zone, or tne previous one.
A weaker magnetic high is loca:ec on L23E/J7SN, extencing in a southwesterly direction to lirZ/jOJN, and pDssi^.y ^.s zar e..s L14E/50N. Although this is a weaker respcn-ie it 1& 01 part.cu^ar interest because of an old ^hait locatec. or. or a.onj i c.; northern flank. This p^evicus wcr:-: reporter encouraging cold valuer from tne .snaft area. Dee to tne extreme snow conditions encountered curing this i;ork program, the exact location of this shaft has not oeen de:ernuned.
A magnetic nic.i located from tlte nortn end of L21Z to LirZiiOOX is likely due to iron zormation, a^ snowit ^y :iap P-J4-.
The last area to mention i^ a magnetic high tiiat run^ from LO/12503 to L4W/1150S, remaining open to c.ie west. Zt ha.%. weak AZII conductors coincident witn it oetween Lu and L2W.
CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
All of the magnetic features described anove are worthy of some type of follow-up work. At this point in lime three of the zones should receive priority.
The first would be the magnetics that seem to be marking the Paradis Creek Faui.t. Work to the east of Timmins, in the Mighthawk Lake area, has shown economic amounts of gold occurring within secondary faults or splays to the south of the main Porcupine Destor Fault zone.
The second area of interest is the strong high to the south of this, which is likely marking a zone of iron formation. On strike with and to the east of this feature, gold values associated with iron formation have been reported.
The last priority area .s the magnetic feature associated with the old shaft area. In 1912 W.A.Campell reported much free gold at the is foot level of this shaft. The remainder of the associated magnetic feature to tne southwest remains untested.
The first phase of foilow-up work shou.d be a detailed geological mapping program ccnductec over the entire gria. This may help identify some of che magneti: features described above.
As much of the property is overburden covered additional geophysical surveys should be carried out. A VLF-2H survey migiit neip outline some of the structures liuch as cross faults that seem to be extending through the area. An Induced Polarization survey would likely outline any areas of disseminated sulphides and would also held distinguish between the various geological, units and structures interpreted to occur within the block.
As mentioned, due to the encouraging geological environment none of the zones outlined shouid be dismissed without further testing. If after additional testing, any zones that warrant it should be tested with diamond drilling.
