Creating Galleries and Albums
• If NextGEN Gallery is not installed go to http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/step-by-step-guide-to-install-a-wordpress-plugin-for-beginners/
• With NextGEN installed you can create galleries and slideshows. Create albums to hold a collection of galleries.
• Follow the next steps to create a gallery and add photos to your website.

Add Gallery/Images
Under Gallery select “Add Gallery/Images”

Add a New GalleryStep 2: (Enter
Gallery Name) and Click “Add Files”
Step 3: Once files are added to list
Click “Start Upload”
Step 1: To add images to an existing
gallery, select a gallery listed in the drop-down menu.

Add a New Gallery
Click “Manage Galleries” to view all created galleries and edit their properties.
The ‘Upload Complete’ box will provide confirmation of
uploaded images.

Delete/Edit a Gallery
Select a gallery name to view images and change
properties.
The ‘Bulk Actions’ menu provides a way to delete, edit and resize multiple
galleries.
Check the box(es) of the galleries you want to
edit/delete.

Edit Gallery DetailsYou can change Gallery details and edit photos
from this page.
Edit individual image details or select images to
edit in bulk.

Delete Images from Gallery
Similar to deleting a Gallery, you can delete images by checking the box
next to the thumbnail, selecting “Delete Images” from the drop-
down, and clicking “Apply.”
Don’t forget to Save Changes!

Additional Settings
Step 1: To edit general settings,
click “Gallery Settings”
Step 3: Don’t forget to Save
Changes!
Step 2: Edit additional options such as thumbnail settings and
adding a watermark for your images from expanding menus
on the left.

Add an Album
• When you are finished creating and editing a set of galleries, you may want to organize your galleries in an album.
• Follow the next steps to add and manage an album.

Add an Album
Step 1: Click “Manage Albums”
under Gallery.
Step 2: If you already have an album, select
it from this drop-down
Step 3: Otherwise type the name of your new album and click “Add.”

Add Galleries to an Album
Your new album will appear here.
You can drag items from the right two
columns into the new album on the leftAlbums can be
deleted from the menu. Click “Update”
to apply changes.

Adding Galleries/Photos to Pages
• After you are done creating and editing a gallery or album, you want to insert it into a page so that viewers can see your pictures.
• Go to Pages on the sidebar, the next steps will show you how to insert a NextGEN item into a page.

When you edit a page, put your cursor where you want the
gallery/album/photo to appear, then click the “Green Gallery”
icon in the toolbar.
Ensure the “Visual” tab is selected.

Insert your Gallery/Photo in a Page
Use the “Add Gallery/Images tab to create a new gallery or add images
to an existing gallery.
You can also manage your galleries and albums using the above tabs.

Insert your Gallery/Photo in a Page
Step1: Click the “Display Galleries” tab. Select a display type.
Step 2: Scroll down and choose from an existing album you would like to
use.
Step 3: When you are finished scroll down and click “Save”

Save Changes
Don’t forget to click “Update” when you’re done!
