Worcester Floods 2014

The floods have been dreadful.

The flooding has caused big amounts of: Trees to fall down, furniture to flow in the river and lots more.

Transport.

Shuttle buses are a way of getting around, these buses are used flooding-conditions. (Fact: Shuttle buses can go in the water but not in very deep water),

Because it has flooded, these buses are used a lot, and if there are flooding conditions they, provide us with transport.

The river bursts its banks.

When the river burst its banks, (Rose over the banks). The swans swam to the top, to the fountains and the car park.

Did you know that 'Swans' are the Queens pet, and you cant eat/kill a swan.

HousesUnfortuately, some people have been flooded,But like this house here, has put up Flood Defences for his/hers Resturant.

Did you know: Some of the furniture in houses get swept from there houses, and right into the river. This is why there is lots of junk built up by the bridge, in Worcester.

Badly effected areas.

This owner did not want the floods to get into his house. Remarkbly, this family made a defence around there home, to try and get the water to stay out.

Unfortunately, things didn't turn out so well because water did get in but it was a very good effort.

This is in Somerset, it has been badly flooded there, worse than Worcester.

This family's home/picture was all over the media on the day it was badly flooded.

Roads/Traffic

Traffic has been awful, due to the weather conditions, some 'One Way Roads' and 'Dual Carrage Ways' have been going the wrong way or been split so part of the road goes the other way. (To prevent slow traffic).

It is worse on roads, as traffic is slow like a snail.
