Message from SteveWECU continues to grow each year and 2019 was no exception thanks to the support of our valuable Members now numbering over 21,000.

We updated our Mobile Phone Banking App during the year and recently re-invented our Website with a new supplier as we continue to seek improvement in all areas of our operations.

We also continued our Corporate Social Responsibility process with our 8th year of awarding a $5,000 Student Scholarship and partaking in many of the Woolworths Charity Fund Raising events.

Our generational change to the “Woolworths Team Bank “ Name and Brand will continue in our quest for what is best for our Members.

The Directors, Management and Staff would like to wish all Members a Merry Christmas and a Safe and Happy New Year.

$5,000 Scholarship Award

Scholarship winner Danika Rojas from Castle Hill receiving the $5,000 Student Scholarship Award from our Chairman Tony Parle.

Danika attended William Clarke College where she completed her year 12 studies achieving outstanding marks overall and she will be attending Macquarie University in 2020 to study for a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours).

She is a well-rounded person, loves her Netball and Basketball, and volunteers for community work in local retirement homes and generally loves interacting with people.

Danika is a very worthy recipient of our $5,000 Student Scholarship Award and we wish her every success in the future.

25YEAR CLUB

WECU supported the Woolworths Group 25 year club events from September through to November 2019.

Our Business Development team assisted with event registrations, seating and presentations on the days and we were honoured to be part of Woolworths Team Benefits crew.

We really enjoyed interacting with past and present 25 year club members and a highlight was meeting all the inductees two of whom are our own WECU Staff, Bill McLardie our Deputy General Manager and Lyndall Heap our Loans Officer.

The events in Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane, Hobart and Melbourne were a major success.

Congratulations to all and we are looking forward to participating in future events.
