Charmaine & Chris

Charmaine and Chris have a love story for the ages. What began as a simple smiley face note, casually passed at a bar, quickly became a deeper relationship.

“A few weeks after the simple note was passed, at the same bar, I got a phone call from my dad that my little brother was in an motorcycle

accident. I told Chris and he was at my car before I was, and we headed together into the night of the unknown," Charmaine said. “From that night to the funeral and through all the ups and downs, he never left my side; and that’s when I realized he was the real deal and I was going to marry him.”

Page 11: Woodlands Bride

In MemoryCharmaine said the florals were one of her favorite parts of her wedding. “They (Ken and Donna Senterpiece) were even were able to add lockets in my bouquet of my brother, Chris’ granny and his aunt that were watching from heaven,” she said.

Ashlee and DerekAshlee and Derek found each other through mutual friends in Dallas. After two-and-a-half years of dating, Derek proposed!

Ashlee dished the details.

“After about two and a half years of dating, Derek proposed while snorkeling at Xel Ha in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. We were on a “girls only” trip to celebrate Derek’s sister going off to UTMB. Well, Derek crashed the girls-only trip but it was well worth it! All I have to say is, I was in shock! At first, I thought he was joking (as he “thinks” he’s a comedian sometimes) and started to laugh at him and gave him a playful push in the water. Then he reassured me he was being serious. I don’t remember his words now but all I could answer with was a couple of quick nods because I was totally numb! Finally, after shedding some tears, I was able to answer “yes!”.

Soft and RomanticThe bride wanted her wedding to be soft and romantic. It began with her find of a lovely ivory gold wedding dress and gorgeous Caspian blue bridesmaid dresses. She added the grey, blue, and green last. “It came together great!” Ashlee said.

Page 17: Woodlands Bride
Page 18: Woodlands Bride

Ashlee said their splurge item was definitely their transportation. “I will give Derek full credit on this one! He brought it up about four months before the wedding wanting a classic or vintage car and we began looking. We found Monarch Limo and they had a Roles Royce available for our wedding night. It was an easy decision to make!”

Rustic Elegance

Photography by JW Baugh Photography

Page 32: Woodlands Bride

Steven and Jordan dated for nearly four years before he proposed at her family ranch in southwest Texas. He caught the bride completely off guard when he popped the question in front of her entire family, on a bluff overlooking the ranch. As soon as they were engaged, Jordan started looking for the perfect rustic venue to host their“shabby-chic” wedding. After searching the Houston area, they decided Stonebrook Hall at Amber Springs was perfect.

Farm Fresh Jordan wanted her wedding to have a rustic feel, mixing burlap, vintage lace, and Mason jars. In lieu of round tables, they rented old farm tables from A Style Collective.

Kelly and Matt

Page 40: Woodlands Bride

Matt and Kelly originally met in her neighborhood under a light post when they were children. He whistled to get her attention, but Kelly just just giggled at him with her best friend and walked away. They became good friends while in high school at The Woodlands High but did not start dating until they were in college at Sam Houston State University. They finally tied the knot with all-inclusive wedding at The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center.

Childhood Friends

Page 41: Woodlands Bride

"We chose The Woodlands Resort because it just seemed like the absolute perfect fit for us. As we were touring it I could not stop smiling, and Matt said that at that moment he knew we had found the place. My mother passed away from Colon Cancer about a year before I was married, and The Wood lands Resort was also the setting of my dream wedding that we used to plan and joke about together. I guess it just always held a special place in my heart after she was gone." Kelly said.

Amber and Josh

Josh and Amber both share a passion for traveling the world. On a two-week trip to Thailand, Josh got down on one knee and popped the question. Amber said yes and the two are planning a March wedding. This gorgeous

engagement session was captured at Josh's family home, designed by his father, a seasoned architect.
