TILL’s Woodland Guest House offers adults (18+) with learning differences, intellectual disabilities, or autism, functional learning opportunities through fun activities with support and guidance from trained, experienced staff.

Weekend guests enjoy exploring new interests, practicing independent living skills, and developing social skills through TILL’s recreational respite program.

What is a weekend like at the Woodland Guest House?

Every weekend is a little different, with a wide variety of activities, suited for many interests.

On Fridays, weekend guests arrive and settle in, selecting their bedrooms and unpacking their things. After a casual dinner together, we share in the cleanup, then it’s time to gather for a project, game or activity designed to help us get to know each other, with fun conversations over a game of Left-Center-Right, baking cookies, or working on a DIY project.

On Saturdays and Sundays, we start our day with a home-cooked breakfast, with all taking part in cooking, table setting and cleanup. Then we get ready for the day’s adventure!

Activities are varied, with choices of indoor and outdoor activities, depending on interests, the season, and, of course, weather!

Guest House staff are creative in finding great events, like a musical or play at a local theatre; a sporting event, must-see movie, or a leisurely trip through one of the many museums the area has to offer. Special event weekends, like a trip to Foxwoods or the mountains, are an exciting option for the adventurous.

No matter where the weekend takes us, each guest returns home with a sense of pride and fond memories of their time with friends both new and old.
