Everything you need to know about Howland’s Landing etiquette and rules are posted on www.layc.org/clubhouse/howlands-landing/. That’s the best resource because it is updated with any changes as they come along.

Sailing and Mooring Guidelines• Watch the mooring video on the website, and the

special feature on stern-tie procedures if needed.

• Know the policies and rules.

• Mooring fee at island per boat footage, per night is paid to the Harbor Master in the cove.

• PLEASE CONSERVE WATER! Use your head aboard and only use cove head if absolutely necessary. Do not use fresh water to wash dishes; take them back to boat for washing. The shower ashore is also off limits for now and is capped off. Do not use the hoses as an alternative.

• Fire pit: Make sure last person in cove puts fire out with ocean water, not sand.

• Lights are on timer, but it doesn’t hurt to turn them off when you leave.

• Picnic tables are first-come first-serve, but always try to share as much as possible. It’s a good way to meet people and make friends.

• All trash must be taken back with you. We have no trash service in the cove.
