Syragh

When a wood elf dies, their bodies are laid to rest in hidden cairns deep in the woodland. To look on a wood elf cairn uninvited invites deadly retribution, for it is here that the spirits of the elves rejoin the cycle of the woodland before being reborn into the world. In times of great peril, the most powerful spell singers have the ability to bring forth powerful Cairn Guardian spirits known as Syragh. Syraden - Cairn Wardens. Rare, 55 points per modelThe cairns of the wood elves are watched over by the mysterious Syraden statues.Shaped from the earth of the forest itself, these creatures are animated by the spirits of the wood-elves resting in the cairn, allowing them to defend their beloved woodland once more. In battle, these creatures advance implacably on the flow, as long as the connection between the spirit and the body is maintained, the fickle nature of the connection between the spirit realm and the material world often flickers, briefly returning Syraden in battle to their statue forms once more.

Spite SwarmsIn times of peril to the forest, the mischievous spites often band together to shifting, squealing packs capable of harassing and harrying the enemy.

Greater spitesWhile the commonly seen spites are often considered to be the only form these spirits take, there are rare occasions where greater spites have joined with Wood elf forces in defence of the wood. Comparable in size to ogres, these magical creatures are a site to strike fear into all but the most stout-hearted foe.
