Year 6 teambuilding

An impromptu forest school session broke out during the glorious weather this week. The trees had been trimmed and left lots of great branches for den making. Ellie noticed that we were collaborating and communicating well, while building a great den that allowed everyone to remain socially distanced in their own section.

The Midnight Gang by David Walliams

This book is about injured hospital children that sneak out every night with the porter (who has no name!) to make dreams come true. I really enjoyed reading this story because much like most of Walliams writing, it is hilariously funny! It was also a very heart-warming experience. However, at some points it was also very sad as there was a mean paediatrician (a doctor who looks after children) who was very strict with the children. The book follows the story of Tom, a child who was hit on the head by a baseball by his mean boarding school principal. I would recommend this book to people who like to laugh and if you like it very much (which I know you will) there is also a film that is just as exciting.

Week Four – Selfies

There are many examples of photographic Selfies in which the subject's face is obscured. This effect is a special feature of photography that doesn't feature so much in painting. The camera flattens three dimensional space so that some-thing in the foreground can appear to be on the same level as something else in the background.

Using either make-up, costumes, props or objects create a Selfie with all or part of your face obscured. Be creative and have fun! Deadline Monday 6th July - 3pm.
