Weekly Bible StudiesMonday Healing Hearts Ministry Walk with someone who has been there. Healing Hearts studies are available at the specified times, online and one-on-one ongoing. Contact Cindy Bradlee at 610-842-4610 or cindyb@healinghearts.org with questions or to register. Studies are led by various women who have been trained through Healing Hearts.

The Hem of His Garment Study: This 10 week study is designed for women who need help to overcome the hurts life brings: abuse, loss, shame, guilt, painful secrets, and much more. There is no hurt so great or wound so deep that the love of God cannot touch it. The author uses her own personal testimony of suffering to help women understand that genuine hope and healing can only be found in Jesus.

Binding Up the Broken Hearted: This study is an in-depth journey of healing from the pain of abortion. Tired of feeling hurt, guilt, shame, depression, anger, self -hatred, and the fear that others will find out? It's time to find hope, healing, and freedom in the Word of God. All our leaders have walked this road personally: chosen abortion and found healing in Christ. We understand!

Wednesday TWM Entree of Encouragement The Book of Daniel (Part 2) Transformed Worldwide Ministry (TWM) will complete the Book of Daniel. This book ties together the history of the Jews and of the Gentiles (us) from the sixth century before Christ until the end of all human history and governments—when ‘the kingdom of this world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ’ (Rev 11:15). We will learn from Daniel’s faith and the prophecy given to him and how it applies to us today. This book also helps us to interpret the book of Revelation. No cost for this study.

Romans This study of Romans reveals the answers to important questions each Christian must know and supplies information on many topics, such as salvation, the sovereignty of God, judgment, spiritual growth, God’s plan for Jews and all people, and the righteousness of God. It is the foundation of the entire Christian faith and has changed the hearts of many as they read and understand the wonderful truths revealed inside. It

(TWM Romans-continued) shares the Gospel and teaches that our righteousness comes by faith in Jesus Christ apart from what we can do to earn it—that living by rules and regulations only brings about judgment and condemnation. This is a must study for all. No cost for study.

Thursday Delighting in the Lord Delighting in the Holy Spirit: A Study on the book of Acts

Following Jesus’ resurrection and then ascension to be with His Father in Heaven, Jesus leaves His disciples with a gift; He gives them the Holy Spirit to empower them to be God’s witnesses on this earth. The book of Acts bridges the gospels with the epistles and gives witness to ordinary men who do extraordinary things in the name of Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit living inside of them. Acts demonstrates how God uses ordinary people like you and me as His messengers to the unsaved world. In doing so, He saves souls, transforms lives, builds and strengthens His church. The book of Acts will leave you refreshed, hopeful and inspired as you continue this same work that started over 2000 years ago. The Delighting in the Lord Bible Study Series allows participants to work through each chapter of Acts by answering inductive, deductive and personal application questions. Most weeks cover one chapter of the book at a time. The chapter has one day of homework which can be completed in one or more sittings. There is a live teaching each week taught by Stacy Davis, Brenda Harris or Hedy Negron. If you

are unable to make a week of study the teaching can be found at the CCCS website under women’s ministry.

Thursday AM Delighting in the Lord: Format: Small group discussion from 9:30-10:30 followed by worship and live teaching in sanctuary. Discussion groups meet with a facilitator in classrooms. Small groups have about 10-15 women in each group.

Time: 9:30 - 11:30 AM (childcare available) When September 8 - November 17 and

January 5 - May 11 Cost: $15 for the year

Thursday PM Delighting in the Lord: Format: Small group discussion followed by DVD teaching recorded from the AM session. Meet in Nursing Mom’s Room.

Kids in Christ Children’s Ministry Age appropriate Biblical instruction, worship and craft time for infants through Kindergarten offered during AM Delighting in the Lord Bible study. This is a free ministry that serves the Delighting in the Lord moms. Separate registration is necessary through Kids in Christ for children.

Bible Bus: One Year Through The Bible The Bible Bus is a personal, daily, devotional 15-minute Bible reading plan consisting of passages from the Old and New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs. Please join us Saturday, September 3 from 10am-noon for information, fellowship, and brunch. Those who are unable to attend can participate through the monthly Bible Bus emails.

Discipleship Study: Part 1: “How People Change” When the Bible talks about the gift of a new heart, it promises a heart that is capable of being changed. “How People Change” is a challenging and rewarding Christ-centered study focusing on the heart of the individual through the process of self-examination. Using the biblical model called “Heat, Thorns, Cross, and Fruit” you’ll learn why you do the things you do and how to change the way you respond to life’s issues. Discover your new potential in Christ and how Christ changes us by His grace. This study includes small group discussion of the workbook lesson followed by DVD teaching. Part 2: “Instrument’s In the Redeemer’s Hand” ***(How People Change Study must be completed prior to starting this one.)

The goal of this study is to take the lessons learned in “How People Change” and prepare you to equip people for personal growth. This study teaches people to live practically as followers of Jesus Christ in the way they think of their own identity and problems, in the way they serve others and in the way they relate to God. Using the biblical model called “Love, Know, Speak, Do” you’ll learn how to be an ambassador for Christ by following the example of our Wonderful Counselor. As the children of God we are called to participate in ministry all the time. Make ministry your life and life your ministry by becoming an effective tool of change in the lives of others. Moms in Christ This year, Moms in Christ will meet on Saturday mornings so that all moms (working and stay at home are able to attend). We will meet for breakfast and then a time of teaching from God’s Word on topics that relate to motherhood and training our children in the Lord. Open to moms with children of all ages. Come enjoy a time of fellowship, food and Biblical teaching while meeting other moms in the CCCS body of Christ. There is no childcare offered but nursing babies are welcome to accompany you.

Summer Study 2017 Lord, Give Me A Heart For You A devotional study by Kay Arthur on having a passion for God. Criticized, beaten down, discouraged? In this study based on 2 Corinthians, we will examine the anatomy of a heart for God and how to strengthen your relationship with Him. Learn from Paul how to master circumstances with a persevering heart. Come to understand what a passion for God looks like when lived out in the flesh and blood circumstances of daily life. Transformed Worldwide Ministries One-Day Conference: “His Holy Spirit In You” Paula Harris, Director of Transformed Worldwide Ministries, will be teaching at the TWM annual fall women’s conference being held on Saturday, October 15th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m at CCCS. The topic will be, “His Holy Spirit in You” (The power of the Holy Spirit in your life.) Paula Harris attends CCCS and also leads a weekly women’s Bible study. Christmas Luncheon Plan to join us for our annual WM Christmas Luncheon at CCCS on Saturday December 3, 2016 from 11am-2pm. Luncheon will include a catered lunch, worship, speaker and time of fellowship.

Women’s One-Day Winter Seminar “What Does The Bible Say About Sex?” Saturday, January 14, 2017 ~ 8:30am-4pm In a culture saturated with sex, many find it hard to believe the Creator of the universe cares about this facet of their lives. Others are confused about where to draw the line to avoid going “too far.” Married or single, you need to know what God says about sex and purity. After all, He’s the one who designed this priceless gift and set clear boundaries to protect it. This one-day seminar will help you if you are struggling in this area in your own marriage, if you are trying to train your teens according to God’s Word or if you are single and desire to remain blameless before God in this area. Seminar will include group worship, small group sessions throughout the day and lunch. In the small groups, we will be collectively working through God’s Word on this topic in a question and answer

inductive approach. Registration begins in December.

How to Register for a Bible Study

We pray you are able to join us this fall as we gather together as women to study God’s Word and apply it to our hearts and lives. Please pray and ask God to direct you to the study He has for you this year.

Register for all Women’s Bible Studies directly through Women’s Ministry and not with the individual instructors except for Healing Hearts Studies offered by Cindy Bradlee.

To register, please fill out the Women In Christ Registration Card enclosed in this brochure or found on the Women’s Ministry info counter outside the sanctuary. It is preferable you pay for your study at the time of registration. All monies should be placed in the “gray” Women’s Ministry box at the Women In Christ Info Counter located outside the sanctuary. Checks should be made payable to CCCS and write the name of the study in the memo line. No credit cards are accepted at this time.

All studies are also listed on the church website under Women’s Ministry. Go to www.cc-chestersprings.com. There is no online registration, but the registration cards and KIC cards are online and can be printed and mailed to: CCCS, Attn: Women’s Ministry, PO Box 595, Eagle, PA 19480.

Registration and monies for fall Bible studies are due by: Sunday, Sept. 4th.

Kids in Christ Registration If you are registering children for the Kids in Christ Children’s Ministry program offered on Thursday mornings, please be sure to fill out a separate KIC registration form for each child. These forms will be available at the WM counter and through Ginger Katzenmoyer.

Financial Assistance If you require financial assistance in order to attend a Bible study, please complete a scholarship request form located on the info counter. This request will remain confidential and reviewed by an elder.
