CALL FOR PAPERS 24th Annual Conference/Symposium Saturday 2 nd October and Sunday 3 rd October 2021 at Bangor University, Bangor, Gwynedd, LL57 2DG AND/OR virtually – dependent upon the pandemic Our conference provides a forum for anyone interested in women’s history in Wales, whether academic or not, to present their work and receive feedback in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Papers are invited from professional and amateur historians, archivists, and others interested in any aspect of the history of women in Wales for inclusion in the conference programme. Proposals from new researchers and students will be especially welcome Please note too that we offer the Avril Rolph Bursary for one such submied paper and welcome both English and Welsh language papers. Papers will probably be in the region of 20-30 minutes. Contributors should send an abstract of approximately 150-200 words outlining the key themes to be covered and a short 100 word biography. Submissions should be made by Friday 14 th May 2021. Please email your abstracts or queries to: [email protected] It should be noted that the Women’s Archive of Wales is a charity and members work voluntarily. For this reason we cannot usually offer expenses. In exceponal cases, and in order to promote contribuons from students, a small conngency fund has been set aside. Please nofy us as soon as possible should you wish to be considered for this. We do ask speakers to pay conference fees too. Gwahoddir papurau ar unrhyw agwedd ar hanes menywod yng Nghymru i’w cynnwys yn rhaglen y gynhadledd - oddi wrth haneswyr, archifyddion neu eraill sydd â diddordeb mewn hyrwyddo hanes menywod yng Nghymru. Caiff cynigion gan ymchwilwyr a myfyrwyr newydd groeso arbennig. Noder ein bod yn cynnig Bwrsari Avril Rolph i un papur o’r fath a chroesewir papurau yn Gymraeg ac yn Saesneg.
Bydd mwyafrif y papurau tua 20-30 munud o hyd. Dylai cyfranwyr anfon crynodeb o tua 150-200 gair yn amlinellu’r prif themâu i’w trafod a bywgraffiad byr o 100 gair.
Dylid anfon cynigion erbyn Dydd Gwener 15fed Mai, 2020 . Anfonwch eich cynigion neu’ch ymholiadau trwy e-bost at:conference@wo mensarchivewales.org os gwelwch yn dda.
Dylid nodi bod Archif Menywod Cymru yn elusen a bod aelodau’n gweithio iddi’n wirfoddol. Felly ni allwn gynnig treuliau gan amlaf. Mewn achosion eithriadol, ac er mwyn hyrwyddo derbyn cyfraniadau gan fyfyrwyr, neilltuwyd cronfa fechan wrth gefn. Rhowch wybod i ni cyn gynted â phosibl, os gwelwch yn dda, os hoffech gael eich ystyried ar gyfer hyn. Disgwylir i siaradwyr dalu ffi’r gynhadledd hefyd.
