Almost 8 ½ years in the real estate industry. I am a very driven person. Self-discipline is very important in this business, you need to remain level headed at all times. I believe you need to have a degree of competitiveness to give you an edge-personally and professionally. My family are my main drivers for succeeding and I like to prove to the kids that anything is possible. Not to mention the sale process gives me a great buzz, which in turn encourages me to push forward and strive for further fulfilment and success. What inspired you to become Self Employed? My husband! He is the one that saw the potential in me and gave me the boost to do something different. Without his support, I would be lost. Owning our own business and being part of something new has always appealed to us both. When Ray White approached us with the pitch of opening a new franchise in Tauranga, we had to look where we were at and what we were trying to achieve long-term. The rest as they say is “history”. What advice would you give to a person considering opening up a new business? There is no easy road and there is no “get rich quick” recipe. Be prepared to put in the hours and the effort. Do your homework, talk to people, get advice, don’t be scared to ask questions and don’t be scared to ask for the business! What do you believe contributes to your success? Succeeding takes hard work, dedication and good ethics. My goal has always been to be true to myself. Remaining educated and informed about what is happening in the industry and staying on top of the game is crucial. Whether the market is buoyant or challenging, I am here for the long haul. I have a passion to achieve and I like to reflect that through the sales process. The journey we take when we have decided to list or buy a home can seem complicated; I like to make it simple, straight-forward and honest. I sincerely believe that attributes to my success. Ray White Tauranga: Nicolette Aldridge Infuzed: Zita Cameron What is your speciality? For the past 20 years I have been involved in roles such as Sales, Marketing & Business Development. From the age of 16 I knew exactly what career path I wanted to take and from that point on, no matter what obstacles I faced, I went for it. Today I am proud to say I am a Business Growth & Sales Specialist. What is the connection between INfuzed & Lockwood Tauranga? Over the past 12 months I have been working with the team at Lockwood Tauranga to co-ordinate INfuzed Network Events to help build a stronger brand presence throughout the Bay of Plenty for both businesses. We had great success with our events including having high profile speakers such as the Hon Simon Bridges speak at our Business Bubbles Brunch last December and we are fortunate enough to have him speak again this December. My relationship with Lockwood Tauranga grew and in July this year a fantastic opportunity arose where this synergy could be brought together in the form of an independent contract as their Business Growth & Sales Manager. I believe this will also strengthen my role as the Director of INfuzed as I bring local business owners together in the gorgeous setting of the Lockwood Tauranga show home at future networking events. How do you support business owners? INfuzed is about achieving three key objectives for business owners: 1 Educate 2 Empower 3 Equip I believe that collaboration and support is our pathway to business empowerment and INfuzed is a great platform where we can achieve this. As the key meeting co-ordinator, I help business owners by encouraging them to reveal what really is going on for them in their business and also by empowering all our members to support one another through collaborative ideas, expertise and experiences. What can we expect from you in future? One of my greatest desires is to have a positive impact on everyone I work with. I would love to continue to find new ways to help others and to teach them about how one vital word can completely change the course of your personal and business life… ‘believe’! Believe in yourself, and believe in others.
