BELONG TO SOMETHING REWARDING

‘Wexford Festival Opera…. one of the top three destinations in the world for Opera lovers’ – Frommer’s Travel Guide

Whether you’re looking to entertain clients or reward your team, Wexford Festival Opera Corporate Membership is the ideal solution, offering exclusive access to one of the most prestigious events in the Irish cultural calendar.

Since 1951, Wexford Festival Opera has been staging breathtaking productions of rare and neglected master-pieces, building an international reputation for excellence, and today Wexford is firmly established as one of the leading opera festivals in the world.

The festival takes place at the National Opera House – Ireland’s first purpose-built opera house – an award-winning building situated in the historic heart of Wexford.

The opera house boasts two state-of-the-art auditoriums featuring world-class acoustics for both voice and orchestra courtesy of Arup Acoustics (the company responsible for acoustics in many leading international venues including Glyndebourne, the London Colisseum and the Royal Opera House, London). Horseshoe-shaped balconies enhance the performance experience for guests and performers alike. Whichever opera you decide to attend, it is sure to make for an unforgettable evening.

A luxury experience

On arrival, you and your guests will be treated to a VIP champagne reception before being ushered into a private room for a sumptuous four-course dinner. After dinner, you’ll be shown to your premium seats for the evening’s performance. During the interval a second champagne reception will be held, and after the performance you and your guests may enjoy VIP access to an exclusive post-opera party, where you can relax and mingle with other patrons and performers. At the end of the evening, platinum members can look forward to a well-earned rest in the luxurious surroundings of a superior room at one of our four-star partner hotels.

The rewards don’t end there. Corporate Membership; whether gold or platinum – also entitles you and your guests to enjoy a series of Wexford Festival Opera receptions held in Dublin, London and continental Europe throughout the year, meeting key members of the Festival team together with directors, producers and stars.

Whatever your business, Wexford Festival Opera Corporate Membership offers a unique experience that your clients will not readily forget.

Koanga National Opera House - 8pm 21 October, 24 October, 27 October, 30 October

Inspired by the African American songs Delius heard as a young man working on an orange plantation, Koanga is a powerfully atmospheric opera about a proud African prince, sold into slavery in Louisiana, who falls in love with a mixed-race maid, with tragic consequences.

Guglielmo Ratcliff National Opera House - 8pm 22 October, 28 October, 31 October, 5pm - 25 October

Jealousy is the green-eyed monster that wreaks havoc in Mascagni’s blood-soaked opera in which a young Scot, spurned by the object of his affections, challenges anyone who woos her to a duel. Enriched by the kind of orchestral writing and full-blooded melodies that made Cavalleria Rusticana such a popular success, Guglielmo Ratcliff is the work of a master in full flow.

Le Pré aux clercs National Opera House - 8pm 23 October, 26 October, 29 October, 5pm - 1 November

A co-production with Opéra Comique Paris, based on a novel by Prosper Mérimée, Hérold’s opera comique was a runaway success in the wake of its triumphant premiere. Set during the French Wars of Religion, Le Pré aux clercs is a touching romance in which a young countess rebels against the suitor chosen for her by the King of France and hatches a daring plot to escape with her lover to Navarre.
