Based in Shanghai, Wobabybasics is an innovative apparel company created by Sherry Poon after the birth of her first child. Sherry combines her experiences as an architect, environmentalist and parent to re-create children’s basics with sustainable materials, simple, nostalgic styling and modern practicality.

Inspired by children and their needs, Wobabybasics offers uncluttered design, quality and unique functional details that appeal to both active children and their parents.

Naturally, we ensure that all our IMO and GOTS certified organic textiles and low impact dyes are chemical-free and the healthiest option for babies and our planet.

Wobabybasics proudly supports and works closely with local artisans and people-friendly production methods that uphold the highest social and environmental benefits.

Welcome to Fall Winter 2014 at Wobabybasics.

For the Fall Winter 2014 season, we’re introducing a fun new pattern, the Baozi Pattern by Pinyin Press, to our popular winter styles for both infants and children.

There is a focus on chic, timeless organic clothes - in blue, red, green and yellow - to make it easy for mixing and matching. For our sets, we’ve matched together our favourite pieces into simple, everyday outfits, providing an easy way to give a gift or save for yourself.

As usual, our practical, comfortable clothes are just as good looking to wear to a party as for everyday wear. Wobabybasics’ basics are never boring!

The What Really Matters Project is an annual limited edition print designed by real-life parents and designers for a good cause. A portion of the proceeds from the What Really Matters Project sales support much needed renovations at the Hui Xin Disabled Children Center in Shanghai. Hui Xin is an orphanage for more than 100 mentally and physically handicapped children, aged 0 to 16 years old.

The limited collection Baozi Pattern is designed by Pinyin Press. Inspired by the everyday icons of contemporary Asia, Pinyin Press celebrates this unique and vibrant culture through beautiful hand-drawn illustrations, graphics and prints.

The collection seeks to communicate some of the designer’s own observations, appreciation and fascination with a culture that inspires on every level. Pinyin Press seeks to raise a smile, evoke experience and most of all, connect people more closely to the inherent charms of Asia.

The limited collection Hide and Seek Pattern and Blue Cloud Pattern was designed by Siu Tang @ The Orangeblowfish. The collection was inspired by the Chinese idiom “Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon” and is a playful interpretation encouraging all parents to explore their children’s hidden talents.

Siu is the Founder and Creative Director of The Orangeblowfish specializing in environmental graphics. Siu lives in Shanghai with his wife and son.

Our organic cotton is not coated with toxic resins to prevent shrinkage and will shrink up to 3%. However, we’ve cut the clothes larger to take that into account.

Machine Wash at 30 or 40 degrees. Tumble dry low heat or better yet, hang to dry.
