I am to refer to the subject cited above and inform you that NYKS is now in the process of conducting

meeting of the Departmental Promotion Committees for considering promotion of various categories of

employees. The Departmental examination for the promotion of MTS of NYKSwill be conducted on 9th

and io" of August, 2014, as per the criteria laid down in the Recruitment Rules-2010.

The departmental examinations will be conducted as follows:

For considering promotion to the post of Lower Division Clerk (LDC) to fill up 2 vacancies.

1. MTS who are 12thClass pass orequivalent qualification and haverendered 3 years regular service in thegrade

Will appear for typing test. for speed of 35 w.p.m in Englishor 30 w.p.m in Hindi on Computer (35 w.p.m correspond to10500 KDPH/9000KDPH on average of 5 key depressionsfor each ward).

For considering promotion to the post of Accounts Clerk cum Typist (ACT) to fill up 20 vacancies.

2. MTS who are Graduates and haverendered 11 years regular service ingrade

Will appear for

• typing test (for speed as mentioned above) and• knowledge of Accounts work and Computer

application (for maintaining Cash Book, BankBook, Ledger, Stock Register, Grant ReceivedRegister, Cheque issue Register, preparation oftrial balance & UCs).

However, graduate candidates, if opted to be considered for promotion to the post of LOC/ACT, may exercise anoption for the same in the enclosed prescribed format.

The eligible MTS from your Zone, as per enclosed list, should ensure participation in the above said

departmental examinations. They will report to the Assistant Director (Personnel) at NYKS Hqtrs situated

at Core-IV, 2nd Floor, Scope Minaar, Laxmi Nagar District Centre, Vikas Marg, Delhi-llOO92, Ph. No. 011-

The channels of promotion of MTS are follows:

--3-A graduate MTS may opt to appear for the examination for the promotion to LDC or ACT or both.

Therefore, all graduate MTS should intimate the same to this office by filling up the Annexure-I enclosed

with the letter. For appearing in the Departmental examination, candidates will be issued Admit Card

from NYKS Hqtrs. A letter in this regard is being issued separately.

All the candidates are entitled to claim TA/DA as per rule for participating in the bove said

departmental examinations.

Madam/ Sir,

Please refer to our letter No Ref.No.11026/NYKS/PERS:dpc-mts/2002/751 08.07.2014 regarding

departmental examination for the promotion of MTS. In the letter it was mentioned that for

appearing in the departmental examination, candidates will be issued Admit Card from NYKS

headquarters. Accordingly a copy of the Admit Card is enclosed with this. Each Candidate will have

to make 2 copies of the same and fill up the Employee Code No., Name of the Candidate, Date of

Birth etc given on the top left side of the Admit Card. Then they will affix their recent photograph on

it at the appropriate place and get it attested by the District Youth Coordinator in such a way that

the signature and office seal of the District Youth Coordinator will be partly on the photograph

(without covering the face). The Candidate should also put one signature on the right side box given

just below the photograph

One of the original Admit cards so completed has to be sent immediately to the Assistant Director

(Personnel), Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Core-IV, 2nd Floor, Scope Minar, Laksmi Nagar District

Centre, Lakshmi Nagar, Delhi - 110092 so as to reach this office before so" of July, 2014. They may

also send a scanned copy of the Admit Card to nehruyuvakendrasangathan@yahoo.co.in, to avoid

non-receipt of the same due to postal delay etc. The other original copy will be carried by the

candidate to the examination hall. Candidates without the Admit Card will not be allowed to appear

for the departmental examinations.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Admission to the test centre will be on production of this Admit Card only.2. Please paste your passport size photograph on the Admit Card in the space provided for Photo3. Bring one photo identity proof (PAN Card/ Driving IicenseNoter ID Card/ Adhar Card/ Passport etc.) for verification purpose.4. Candidate is advised to make sure about the location of examination centre in advance so that he/she appears for the examination on

the specified date and centre at least 30 minutes before commencement of the exam.5. At the Examination center, the candidate must occupy the seat allotted against his roll number and is expected to maintain discipline.

Thus interchanging seats, creating disturbance, exchanging notes, consultingl talking. seekingl receiving any help from external means/ using mobile phones etc. will result in cancellation of his candidature for promotion. Candidates found using unfair means will bedisqualified

6. The admission to the Examination Centre will be allowed from 09.45 AM. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hallafter 10.15 AM under any circumstances. They will not be allowed to leave the examination hall till the completion of the test

7. The test consists of Typing test (for both LOC and ACT promotions)/ Accounts Knowledge and Computer application (for ACTpromotion) Test Duration is 03 hours. There is NO negative marking.

8. This admit card should be brought to the examination centre and handed over to the invigilator. Candidate can keep a copy of theAdmit Card with them. Candidate to ensure that his signature and invigilator's signature are put (in the space provided for it) on theAdmit Card as well as on attendance sheet. failing which the answer sheet will be treated as invalid.

9. Candidates should carry their own blue/black ball point pen. Candidates will not be allowed to share or borrow stationary items fromother candidates

10. All other items such as Smart watches, Electronic Diary. Cell phone, writing pads, beepers, Cameras or any other electronic device etc.will not be allowed into the examination hall. Candidates will have to leave the same at their own risk outside the examination hall. Anycandidate found in possession of such unauthorized material or indulging in copying or adopting unfair means will be summarilydisqualified

11. Candidates are eligible for reimbursement travel fare by the shortest route. as per NYKS rules.12. Only those candidates who fulfill all the eligibility criteria should appear in the test. If at any stage it is found that the candidate is not

eligible for consideration of promotion to the post, his/her candidature will be summarily rejected.13. The answer sheet. and admit card should be handed over to the invigilator after the test.14. NYKS reserves the right to cancel the process if considered necessary at any stage of selectiOn/appointment.
