A Brief history

• WIDR was first aired from a trailer in 1952 and was only available to WMU residents.

• By the 60’s WIDR was on AM air dial and considered one of the best campus stations.

• By 1975 WIDR went on FM dial and were considered the #1 station in Kalamazoo.

• WIDR continues to be one of the areas only non-commercial radio stations.
