Exceptional Energy for Australia, New Zealand & the Pacific Islands

    17th-18th May 2016

Welcome to the WLPGA Oceania Regional Summit entitled Exceptional Energy for Australia, New Zealand & the Pacific Islands. This summit is being held at a time of unprecedented change in the global LPG business. We see diversifying sources of supply, led by the USA which has begun exporting into the Pacific via the Panama Canal. LPG prices are at historically low figures boosting competitiveness and affordability. At the same time the eyes of the world are focused on air quality something that LPG can proudly do something to combat.

LPG is unique as a modern, clean, portable energy solution and it is ideal for this region with its vast off-grid areas, whether at sea or on land. LPG is the worlds most popular alternative transport fuel but it has incredible versatility, allowing it to be used for hundreds of modern applications from power generation to agriculture; as a fuel for industry or for off-grid homes.

During a full day of debate and presentations we expect to review issues that are common to the region and to explore the many opportunities for growth. I would like to thank all the sponsors for their tremendous support in making this Regional Summit the success that I fully expect it to be and look forward to greeting you all on the Gold Coast.

By the CEO of the World LPG Association (WLPGA)

    James Rockall CEO, WLPGA
