E7018 Low Hydrogen Electrodes
DDEESSCCRRIIPPTTIIOONN
Weldmark E7018 is the most efficient general purpose, ironpowder - low hydrogen electrode used for welding carbon steels,free machining steels and low alloy steels with a minimum yieldstrength of 50,000 psi. Weldmark E7018 has a very gooddeposition rate, providing a quiet steady arc with low spatter andmedium penetration. Weld deposits are of X-ray quality with easyslag removal, exceptional mechanical properties and a smoothuniform bead appearance. Weldmark E7018 has excellentoperator appeal and may be used in any position with AC or DC
(reverse polarity).
AAPPPPLLIICCAATTIIOONNSS
Weldmark E7018 electrodes are used formany ASTM specifications. More specificapplications would include process piping,cold rolled steels such as found in heavymachinery fabrications, fired and unfiredpressure vessels, shop and field welding of
bridges and structural steels, caststeels, shipbuilding, just about
any medium carbon, lowalloy steel where the
welds are subject toX-ray inspection.

Weldmark E7018AC is the same as Weldmark E7018AC onlymade to operate better on AC current. It is the most efficientgeneral purpose, iron powder - low hydrogen electrode used forwelding carbon steels, free-machining steels and low alloy steelswith a minimum yield strength of 50,000 psi. Weldmark
E7018AC has a very good deposition rate, providing a quiet steadyarc with low spatter and medium penetration. Weld deposits are ofX-ray quality with easy slag removal, exceptional mechanicalproperties and a smooth uniform bead appearance. Weldmark
E7018AC has excellent operator appeal and may be used in anyposition with AC or DC (reverse polarity).

E7024 Mild Steel Electrodes
DDEESSCCRRIIPPTTIIOONN
Weldmark E7024 is a high speed, heavy-coated, iron-powderelectrode for high deposition rates on horizontal and downhandwelding. Excellent operator appeal, produces equal leg 45 fillets,thereby eliminating over-welding. Excellent bead appearance andself-cleaning slag. This electrode has good weldability andsuperior mechanical properties. It is particularly useful in obtainingincreased penetration with little or no root porosity in horizontal orpositioned fillets. Weldmark E7024 is ideal for making high speedhorizontal fillet and lap welds on mild and some alloy steels, suchas earth-moving and construction equipment, truck bodies, ships,barges, and railcars. Weldmark E7024 exceeds the AWS A5.1elongation % and charpy v-notch requirements for 7024-1.

Weldmark E7014 is an all purpose electrode used wherever thewelding efficiency of Weldmark E6013 is not acceptable. Typicalapplications would include: ship structures, bridges, structuralsteels for buildings, sheet metal, ornamental iron, auto bodies andfenders, machine parts, storage tanks, etc.

Weldmark E6013 high titania coated electrodes produce welddeposits which are smooth and flat. This electrode was primarilydesigned to provide good wetting and shallow penetration for thinsheet metal applications (using smaller diameter electrodes), butwith sufficient penetration for welding medium gauge steel. As aresult, Weldmark E6013 is an all-purpose electrode that providesa soft steady arc which is easily regenerated, easy slag control forvertical-down welding, low spatter and a beautiful beadappearance. Weldmark E6013 electrodes may be used in anyposition with AC or DC (straight or reverse polarity).
AAPPPPLLIICCAATTIIOONNSS
Weldmark E6013 is commonly used for automobile bodies, truckframes and bodies, ornamental iron, metal furniture, farmimplements, machinery guards, storage tanks, or whereverappearance is important or desirable.

E6011 Mild Steel Electrodes
DDEESSCCRRIIPPTTIIOONN
Weldmark E6011 electrodes have the same characteristics asWeldmark E6010; however unlike the Weldmark E6010, thiselectrode may be used with small AC welders as well as DC types.Weldmark E6011 high cellulose coated electrodes provideexcellent arc stability, increased ductility, high depositionefficiency and low spatter. This electrode combines a strong arcforce with fast solidification of weld metal, thereby permittingvertical or overhead as well as flat and horizontal weldingpositions. Weldmark E6011 is especially suited for welding wherepoor groove fit-up and rusty or oily steel is present.
AAPPPPLLIICCAATTIIOONNSS
Weldmark E6011 is commonly used as an all purpose electrodefor automobile body shops and mild steel farm equipment. Otheruses would include shipbuilding, bridges, boilers, barges, railroadcars, pipes, truck frames, pressure vessels, storage tanks andgalvanized steel.

E7014 Mild Steel Electrodes
DDEESSCCRRIIPPTTIIOONN
Weldmark E7014 is an iron powder, rutiletype electrode designed to operate at higherspeeds and with greater depositionefficiency than Weldmark E6013electrodes. This electrode provides a stablearc, flat smooth bead appearance and easyslag removability. Weldmark E7014 isused for all position, single-passand multi-layer weldingapplications. E6010 Mild Steel Electrodes
DDEESSCCRRIIPPTTIIOONN::
Weldmark E6010 is an all-position cellulosic electrode developedfor the pipe welding industry in order to improve ductility in theweld deposit while maintaining the standard weldingcharacteristics needed for a pipe welding electrode. Weldmark
6010 produces a steady, deep penetrating arc and maintains theproper keyhole in an open root. This electrode will produce X-rayquality joints in flat, horizontal, overhead, vertical-up, and vertical-down procedures.Weldmark E6010 is recommended for welding APL grades A25,A, B, and X42 pipe and general structural, ship, barge, and storagetank fabrication. It may also be used for welding root passes inhigher grade pipe in some circumstances.
PPRROOCCEEDDUURREE::
Hold a short arc, but do not allow the coating to touch the moltenpool. A slight oscillating motion is recommended in the horizontaland flat positions. Use a short whipping motion on vertical andoverhead welds, allowing only enough time out of the crater for themetal to set up. Clean thoroughly between passes. Vertical downand flat position welds should be made at approximately the sameamperages.
