In Local NewsA television star (Sandra Lee) from the food network channel has been fighting with breast cancer. Her surgery got postponed until next week due to an infector on her upper respiratory. Lee was interviewed by Good morning America, and thanked all the ones who prayed for her and supported her with messages made for her.

1Manhattan NY is in shock today. A 30 year old man was accused earlier today after attacking four people with an object (hammer) and assaulting a police. Weapon charges are towards this 30 year old man from Bronx NY (David Baril). David Baril was quickly approached due to resemblance of being the suspect in Mondays series of hammer attacks. Detectives said, When he turned around, he violently started swinging. This is where polices took charge. 2

A private school teacher (Gordeuk) from Georgia was fired due to a racial comment in a graduation ceremony. She has been fired but still has the rights to own the school that she owns. Gordeuk was very well disappointed and apologized to all parents in email form. She knew it was a wrong thing to say. Gordeuk comment was a harsh racial comment to people that werent her race. As people walked out and started to leave the room she said, Look who's leaving, all the black people.3

3Many students are struggling with reading and math skills. After a report was released on Thursday with a percentage of demonstration of weak reading and math skills, it showed that the number was much lower in national benchmark test. Many states were able to raise academic standards with different types of test to see for better results. A president of the Achieve education-reform group conducted said, Too many states are not leveling with students or parents. Theyre being told students are proficient, but by external benchmarks theyre not prepared at all.

4Tony Genovese and Jeremy Adkins from Chicago helped a person get out of his car after being in flames and getting into a car accident. Tony and Adkins dont consider this rescue to be a hero life story; they just were at the right moment when everything happened. Genovese said, We didnt do it for any recognition, I wouldnt say Im a hero. I just got out of my car to help. According to police and fire issues, the driver of the car that got into flames, hit the other vehicle (jeep) and then hit a planter.5

A school from south Florida that was started in 2004 with only 60 students, ranked 6 out of 10 of the best schools of Florida. The school is located in the southwest of Eighth Street and Northwest 25TH. The school is called International studies charter high school. Its a great school for foreign nationals and local students.

Houston rockets are down into a 3-2 series against the Los Angeles Clippers. Los Angeles Clippers will try to close up the series tonight as they play into her home court and try to call it finish. Chris Paul and Blake Griffen will okay tonight , but can they stop James Harden and Dwight Howard.8

Cleveland Cavaliers will be playing game 6 with Chicago bulls as they try to close up the series tonight 4-2. It will be tough for Lebron James and his team to close up the series now that Pau Gasol is back for Chicago Bulls.9

Pitch perfect 2 will be out in theaters and it will try to bring a success just like part one did. Since the new Avengers came out , it hasn't been as much excitement towards it or the money wise hasn't been outstanding like it always was with other parts. Pitch perfect 2 has made a great impression to other countries with box office. People are expecting the same success in the united states.11
