Rhetorical  Devices  /  Figures  of  Speech    helps  audience  connect  

Some  Common  Ones  Allitera9on  –  using  several  words  together  that  

begin  with  the  same  leTer  to  make  memorable.  

Metaphor  –  Comparing  to  say  one  is  the  other  without  using  like  or  as.    

Oxymoron  –  combining  contrac9ng  expressions  to  emphasize  contrast.  

Simile  –  comparison  using  the  words  like  or  as.
