Grace Lutheran Fellowship Mission Statement: Know God’s Grace, Grow God’s Family, Show God’s Love, Share God’s Life
Welcome to Grace: At the heart of Grace, in all that we do, is an emphasis on Knowing God’s Grace in worship and prayer, Growing God’s Family in friendships and deeper faith, and Showing God’s Love in caring for each other, our community, and our world, Sharing God’s Life by spreading the good news.
Second Sunday of Lent Sunday, February 25, 2018
No Monday Worship THEME: Thy Will Be Done! Lent is a season of prayer. During Lent we will discover connections between the Lord’s Prayer and aspects of our Lord’s Passion. We hear again the call to repentance. We join those encountering the kingdom, who hungered for the Bread of Life, who received forgiveness and who were delivered from evil through Jesus’ death. May this season of prayer draw you ever closer to Christ.

OPENING PRAYER
SONG: “The Wonderful Cross”
Time of Confession and Forgiveness Pastor God has demonstrated a love for us which is beyond comprehension. He
redeems us, not because we have proved ourselves worthy, but because we could not. Here and now we confess our sins:
ALL We confess, Father that we sinned in thought, word and deed. We have not loved you with our whole heart. We have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. Forgive us, we pray. We are much like Peter, who recognized Christ, but did not understand grace.
Pastor Hear the Good News of the Gospel this day, and be reminded of all that God has done for us. He sent His Son to die and rise again, that we might be redeemed. In Jesus, we are forgiven, and in His Spirit, we are empowered to live as His people.
ALL Amen.
