After 25 years from its official establishment during which 10 scientific manifestations were organized, the Romanian Society of Angiology and Vascular Surgery (RSAVS), continues to represent a scientific society of general interest, with a scientific and an educational character. The main goal of RSAVS consists in creating an adequate organizational framework for all medical specialists whose preoccupations are related to angiology and vascular surgery, in order to continue increasing their professional and scientific level.RSAVS has the following objectives: supporting the introduction of some new standards, guides, techniques, proposing new competences and specializations from this field, as well as developing the collaborative relations with similar international organizations and affiliating to them.In order to facilitate the purchase, the systematization and the dissemination of the scientific and professional knowledge, RSAVS invites you to The 11th RSAVS Congress, which will take place at Cluj-Napoca, Milano Conference and Exhibition Centre between 1st and 4th of June 2016.

Workshop 1 – Developing skills of vascular sutures The workshop will focus on practical knowledge and will provide the knowhow to develop the skills for basic and advanced vascular surgical environments as well as a variety of procedures, including vascular access, synthetic and biological models. All the acquired skills are necessary for the training of vascular surgeons.

Date and place: June 1st, 2016, between 9-13 o`clock at the Practical Skills Center and Simulation in Medicine, ”Iuliu-Hatieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Cluj-Napoca.

Workshop 2 – Updates in Interventional Angiology and Endovascular Surgery The workshop will focus on practical knowledge and will be based on the latest technology equipment used for training teams in angiography lab or surgery unit. It will allow the acquiring of technical skills specific in interventional angiology and endovascular surgery, having the possibility of exposure to a wide range of scenarios and anatomical variations. The training is safety because is without the radiation characteristic of handling a real angiograph.

Date and place:June 1st, 2016, between 14-18 o`clock at the Practical Skills Center and Simulation in Medicine, ”Iuliu-Hatieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Cluj-Napoca.

EVENT STRUCTURE

EDITORIAL INFORMATION

The deadline for submitting the summaries is 15th of April 2016.

Summary Registration:

The registration of the summaries can be done online by filling in the Registration form, or by requesting the form online, at the e-mail address [email protected]. In the form it is necessary to specify the chosen mode of presentation (oral or poster) and the topic chapter where the paper will be inclosed.

There are accepted only presentations that have not been already submitted, or that have not been published in journals, in which at least one of the authors had paid the participation fee. The authors assume full responsibility for the content of the paper. The scientific committee reserved the right to accept or reject the proposed presentations and to select the works to be presented as oral presentation or in a poster session. The authors of the abstracts will be notified by the Scientific Committee, by e-mail, after 15th of May, 2016.

Presentation time: conference - 20 minutes oral communication - 8 minutesThe oral presentation of the selected paper will be in digital format (PowerPoint).The summaries: will be written both in Romanian (with diacritics) and also in English and they mustn’t exceed 250 words.The font: “Times New Roman” - 12 points and one-line spaceThe abstract title will be written with uppercase letters, on maximum two lines, both in Romanian and in EnglishSummary will not be formatted and will not include graphics, photos or drawings.The author’s identification data must include the following information in this order: name, institution, department, city, countryDo not use professional titles / academic

The e-Posters will be recorded preceding the scientific events: RSAVS 2016, until 15th o of May 2016, by sending them to the mail address [email protected]. The format of the e-poster should be: portrait, lower resolution 1080X1920, 72 dpi, jpg/png/tiff/pdf.

For a better centralization, the email subject must contain the name of the speaker, along with the title of the submitted paper.
