Wisdom for the heart magazine brings to you every month stirring messages, lives of marvelous men of God, news of revival and striking incidents from the lives of great missionaries. “Not withstanding the lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion”.(Timothy 4:17)

Paulsays:"OursufficiencyisinGod,whoalsohathmadeus able servant leaders of the New Testament". The spirit of God is on the preacher in anointing power, The fruit of the spirit is in his heart, the spirit of God has vitalized the man and the word; his preaching gives fruitful life, the life giving preacher is a man of God, whose heart is ever a thirst for God, whose soul is ever following hard after God, whose eye is single to God, and in whom bythepowerofGod’sspirit.Thefleshandtheworldhavebeencrucifiedandhislifeislikethegenerousfloodofalifegivingriver.

But above all he excelled in prayer. The inwardness and weight of his spirit, the reverence and solemnity of his address and behavior, and the fewness and fullness of his words have often struck even strangers with admiration as they used to reach others with consolation. The most awful living is too close to His heart. The grace which is in the indestructible life, is nothing less than Christ, the son of God, who is the very embodiment of the divine life, dwelling and living in our spirit. We need to exercise our spirit to enjoy the richness of His heart. Thus, we may live close to Him as our Godliness.

May God help each one of us to blindly follow our shepherd and to walk only on the path chosen by Him. If the path requires us to go through hurdles, we don’t have to be seared as he has assured us that, “For I, The Lord your God will hold your right hand, saying to you, “Fear not, I will help you”. (Isaiah 41:13) He gave his life for us. (John 10:11) Let this love be a reminder for us not to stray awayfromhim.Ifwefindourselvesstrayingawayfromthepathchosen for us, let us come back to his loving sheepfold. No matter howfarwefindourselvesstrayingawayfromthesheepfold, hewill bring us back to the fold. As the word of God says in Psalm 23, let us claim Him as our shepherd, to be led by Him, besides the still waters, ortoagreenpasturesandnottofearifwefindourselvesinthe valley of shadow of death. As each day passes by, let us strive to grow closer and closer to His heart and be in His loving arms.

MayHisnamebeglorified.

Then they said to one another, “We are not doing right. This day is a day of Good news, and we remain silent. If we wait until morning light, some punishment will come upon us. Now therefore, come, let us go and tell the kings household”. (2 Kings 7:9) In the days of Elijah, King Ahab was clueless to feed the nation. But when Elijah prayed fervently, the heaven gave rain and earth yielded fruit. Jams 5:18. In the days of Elisha, King of Israel had no clue to tackle famine other than tearing his clothes. But the Elisha the prophet declared that wheat and barley shall be sold at a low price the next morning and it happened. (2 Kings 7:18). Let us consider the demotion of those four lepers. They were aware that death is certain for them, whether inside or outside of the city. They unitedonsamepurpose, theywanted to risk their lives. lookat theirfirmdetermination for every step they move now therefore come and let us go ... why should we sit idle till we die? Let us go and tell the kings household as a result of their faith the lord did wonders. we praise god for their commitment and responsibility. They came to Syrian camp and found no man there. The lord had created noise of chariots and horsed making Syrian armies afraid. Theyfledforlifetakingnothingwiththemandinsteadthrewoffgarmentsand vessels all the way to Jordan. These was plenty to eat and drink in each tent. Initially they went into a few tents and found food grains, garments and silver and gold. They began to store for themselves - and got fully fed. It was all of the lord. What an abundance? but can they alone eat? They started realizing that their doing was not right. Jesus Christ is The bread of life, bread from heaven, the true bread and bread which comes down giving us eternal life. Our blessed Lord, like a grain of wheat falling into the earth to die, was ground to death on calvary but was raised from the dead and gave us eternal life, (John 12:24) giver of garments of salvation and our unsearchable treasure and portion. What will then be not right? Our remaining silent, indifferent, ignoring others. This day is a day of glad tidings. Let us go and tell the king’s household as well as the crowd; The simple and wise; literate and illiterate; cultured and uncultured; rich or poor. Therefore they did not waste time; they arose at twilight to go. once they got fall, they rested not till next morning, but conveyed the message to the ‘gate Keepers’ same night. The gate keepers conveyed to the king’s household. The king thought it Syrians strategy? But a king’s servant proposed small riskof sendingonlyfive? (2King7:13).Themessengersreturned and confirmed about food availability and absenceofSyrians incamp. Let us consider our call and challenge - ‘Let us go.’ Let us go and tell. ‘Let us send men’. (2 Kings 7:4,9,13) Next morning wheat and barley were available at a low price, kings officerhadnofaithinthewordofGodandsohedied.Yes,thosewhodonotput their faith in Jesus Christ - they perish. We believe that the Gospel is not low priced. It is rich and satisfying but it is free for the rich and poor. Let us preach and herald Gospel in season and out of season; irrespective of people’s response. The word of God says; “How can they hear unless we preach? How will they preach unless they are sent”? (Rom 10:15) This day is a day of glad tidings.May the Lord’s richest blessings upon you and your dear family as you respond to the word of God.

Dear Wisdom for the Heart readers, I would like to tell you a story about an amazing man: a man who had the passion, drive, and sheer willpower to tackle a most formidable project. Like many of us, this man had an “employer” who had assigned to him one of the most daring and incomprehensible feats that one could ever imagine. We’ve all experienced something like this before, haven’t we? Someone at work or at home challenges us with some chore or project that seems impossible. We think to ourselves, “There is just no way that this is going to happen. No way!” This particular man happened to be employed by, indentured to, a prisoner of, and a humble servant of the Lord our God. This man’s anchor was firmly grounded and attached to a Father that resides in heaven above.Let me tell you a little about this individual. Let’s explore his character, motivation, and how he went about completing his assigned project. After reading down through some of these one-word descriptions, can you guess who it is? Can you guess who was blessed with such God-given abilities?Discernment Trust Trustworthiness Planning VisionPersuasion Delegation Persistence Determination PoliticalCaring Leader Prayerful Integrity LoveUnselfishness Resilient Execution Completion DetailOrganizer Godly Brave FaithOkay, I know what you’re thinking. It could be a host of characters in the Bible. Let me give you a little clue. The clue is “52 days”. It took this talented man 52 days to lead the completion of what God had commissioned him to do: a most improbable feat. Remember, God is in control of our lives and our circumstances. In the face of ominous and daunting conditions, we trust in the Lord and allow Him to rule our lives.Yes, this is a Bible account of how Nehemiah was able to lead the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem in a very short period of time. What I would like to do in this article is to recount the Godly wisdom that Nehemiah exhibited as he motivated the people of Jerusalem to inspiring heights. I believe that this “Project Management 101” account has key learning information for us today. If we could only apply some of the principles in this article to projects that we are now tackling, how successful could we be? By using many of these same principles, could we be better servant leaders, employees, and improve our overall efficiency and results? There is so much application in the work place, church ministries, nonprofits, and even projects in the home if we would take the time to unpack and discern the totality of Nehemiah’s project management approach. Let us now take a look at the series of steps that Nehemiah took that ultimately led to a finished and successful project. These steps are not in any particular order, but I believe they capture the essence of his approach.

The StartingPlace – Creation

Continued...

What would the aforementioned men feel like if the Lord pounced on them so relentlessly like they do with our younger sisters (and even sometimes on other brothers)? They think, oh no, we are mature and spiritual. There would be nothing in our behavior the Lord would have to criticize. But as was already stated, the most mature male members of the body of Christ would be a babe compared to God, and so there probably would be much for the Lord to criticize in them. But oh how forbearing is our Master. He lovingly brings us along with much gentleness and love. Oh, how there needs to be love and forbearance among the saints of God as we all grow in our Christian lives.

Now, before we continue on to other verses on this subject, perhaps, we should consider the role of women in

Greek word refers to our physical well-being, or our healing as in Luke 18:42, (the word “saved” in the KJV, is the same Greek word σῴζω), or, as in the verse before us, to our sanctification or our growth in grace.

Joseph Dillow has a helpful section in his book, The Reign of the Servant Kings, on this truth. He states:

“It would be difficult to find a concept which is richer and more varied in meaning than the biblical concept of salvation. The breadth of salvation is so sweeping and its intended aim so magnificent that in many contexts the words used defy precise definition. Yet these difficulties have not thwarted numerous interpreters from assuming, often without any contextual justification, that the words used invariably mean “deliverance from hell” or “go to heaven when you die.” It may come as a surprise to many

which the Scriptures say the sisters will find great peace, spiritual contentment and growth. It is found in the final verse of the chapter in the above quoted passage in Timothy.

I Tim. 2:15 Nevertheless she will be saved in childbearing if they continue in faith, love, and holiness, with self–control. NASB

This verse concludes the section concerning Paul’s desire for the sisters to grow and learn God’s Word. Verse 11 speaks to Paul’s desire for the sisters to grow in their knowledge of the Word. Verse 15, speaks to the practical application of what they learn.

Paul says they will be saved through childbearing. Now, obviously, this is not speaking of salvation from hell. The Greek word σῴζω, “saved,” does not always refer to eternal salvation. Sometimes the same

Page 30: WISDOM FOR THE HEART

that his usage of “salvation (Gk. soteria) would have been the least likely meaning to come to the mind of a reader of the Bible in the first century. Indeed, in 812 usages of the various Hebrew words translated “to save” or “salvation in the Old Testament, only 58, (7.1 percent), refer to eternal salvation.

“…It is in the New Testament, however, that the full breadth of meaning of salvation comes to the forefront. The verb sozo occurs 106 times and the noun soteria 46 times. Statistically, sozo is used 40 percent of the time in this way and soteria 35 percent. Like the Old Testament it sometimes simply means healing or recovery of health.

“… Salvation is a broad term. However, only with difficulty can the common meaning of “deliver from hell” be made to fit into numerous passages. It commonly means “to make whole,” to sanctify,” “to endure victoriously,” or “to be delivered from some general trouble or difficulty. Without question, the common “knee-jerk” reaction which assumes that “salvation” always had eternal deliverance in view, has seriously compromised the ability of many to objectively discern what the New Testament writers intended to teach.”

When times come when the child is in danger or the child is sick with fever, she will learn the importance of faith in God, and so she will grow in her sanctification. When her child grows and will, perhaps, become disobedient at times, she will learn what true love is when she patiently loves and corrects her little one. She will then understand how the Lord patiently loves us when we disobey. If she keeps herself faithful and separated only to her husband, with all self-control, she will learn what it means to be faithful and separated only to the Lord in this world of sin and temptations. She will learn to put into practice what she learns of God’s Word and so will grow in her sanctification. She will be “saved” through the experience of marriage, childbirth and home.

If sisters are content with their God given role as mothers and wives, and if, as Titus says, they learn to “…love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands…” they will grow in their sanctification and become women that are wise unto salvation, and spiritual in their understanding of the ways of Christ.

To be continued...

Thus, we see that one should not automatically assume salvation from hell is the meaning the Greek word for “salvation or the Greek word for “save.” So many times verses have been misunderstood by Christians because they have thought a particular verse is referring to salvation from hell, rather than referring to a sanctification of life. Verses such as Phil. 1: 19-20; 2:12-13; I Tim. 4:16; Jam. 1:21; I Pet. 1:9; and the verse before us.

Paul is saying the sister will be saved, or grow in her sanctification through childbearing. Why? Because motherhood demands faithfulness, love and a selfless spirit. When a sister experiences motherhood, she knows what it is to lay down one’s life. She understands what it means to take up ones cross. She learns what it means to deny oneself. Motherhood, allows her to practically apply what she has learned from God’s Word.

If she continues in faith, love, and holiness, with self-control, the sacrifices that are common to all mothers will receive their proper spiritual applications and she will be saved, in other words, she will be sanctified in her Christian walk.

a preaching Outline of revelation 5Revelation 5:8-10: 8 And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. 9 And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation, 10 and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth.”

Jesus takes the scroll, the 4 super angels and the 24 elders fall down in worship as they present the prayers of the saints (including our prayers). In their song of worship, they proclaim that Jesus is worthy to open the scroll of human history because he died for them. He died for humanity so that their last chapter is not one of being thrown into the lake of fire prepared for Satan and those who follow him in rebellion against God, rather the

last chapter of human history includes people from every tribe, language, people, and nation enjoying eternity with God.

Not only does Christ hold all of human history in his hand, but he holds all the peoples of the world in his hand. God’s plan has always been to call and establish a people for himself from all over the world. Revelation 5:9 Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. The heavenly multitude will be so diverse—people of every ethnicity, language group, and cultural background unified in their worship of the Lord and the Lamb.

That heavenly reality is actually breaking into our world now. In the world today, there are more Christians who are non-westerners. At this moment people in Asia, Africa, South America are praying to and praising Jesus. (Give example of

world wide reach. In my last sermon I talked about teaching students from all over the world at Tyndale Seminary in Europe).

After it is proclaimed that Jesus is worthy to take the scroll, how does heaven respond? Worship.

Revelation 5:11-14 11 Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, 12 saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!” 13 And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!” 14 And the four living creatures said, “Amen!” and the elders fell down and worshiped.

All of creation finally and fully will rejoice because of who

Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. Jeremiah 23:5-6

Christ is, what he has done, and that he is worthy!

In this passage we have a biblical picture of true worship. Worship is tied to worth. You only worship what your heart says is truly worthy.

True worship is not just singing songs or bowing down. True worship starts with believing that he is so worthy that he deserves EVERYTHING. Note verse 12: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!” The Lamb is worthy to receive everything on earth because the earth owes its existence and its restoration to him.

*APPLICATION: Do you believe what Revelation 5 says about the Lamb? Revelation 5 is about all human history—but don’t you think that includes your history? Doesn’t the Lamb hold your life history in his hand as well?

I often wonder about what is next in my life, I wonder about my plans and my dreams. But am I really worthy to hold

those things in my hand? I didn’t give myself life—it was a gift. Moreover, I ruined my life with sin and selfishness—but Christ rescued my life with God. So only Christ is worthy to hold my history, I am not. Whether I realize this worthiness or not, it is true, it is an eternal truth that applies to all of human history so it certainly applies to my life history. What about you? Into whose hands have you placed your life history?

True worship is handing over the thing that is most precious to you – your life. True worship means handing over your history from this day forward to the one who is worthy. Of course, God has your life in his hands anyway. Instead of fighting against him and trying to grasp the scroll of your life and in frustration not being able to open it, give your life to him joyfully in worship. In so doing you are allowing the reality of heaven to penetrate your life now.

Giving your life means making choices, living your day-to-day life in a way that reflects Jesus is worthy. The Apostle Paul says it in this way: Romans 12:1 I appeal to you therefore,

brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. In view of what Christ has done, present your body – alive, as a holistic offering that proclaims God is worthy of it all.

You will be faced with a decision today, another tomorrow – is Jesus worthy enough to put those decisions into his hand? How you treat your spouse, your co-workers, even people who don’t like you— is Jesus worthy to put your attitudes and actions toward them into his hand? Is Jesus worthy to put your finances, your parenting, you sexuality, your career, your plans – all things that make up your life history- is he worthy to place these things into his hand? Subjectively you need to decide that, but objectively the truth is that he is worthy and every tribe, language, people, and nation will join the heavenly multitude in proclaiming: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!“

THINGS THE LORD KNOWS ABOUT US

Bible Reading: Psalm 37:1-18.

Aim: To comfort us by the Lord’s intimate knowledge of us and our needs.

Introduction: Often we may be tempted to think that the Lord doesn’t know or care about us or about our problems. The following Scriptures show that he does know and care about us.

The Lord knows:

1. Our Way “He knoweth thy walking through this great wilderness.” Deuteronomy 2:7.

“He knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.” Job 23:10.

“The Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.” Psalm 1:6.

2. Our Secret Thoughts “He knoweth the secrets of the heart.” Psalm 44:21.

3. Our Frame “The proud he knoweth afar off.” Psalm 138:6.

“For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.” Psalm 103:13,14.

4. Them That Trust In Him “The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he

knoweth them that trust in him.” Nahum 1:7.

5. Our Needs “Your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.” Matthew 6:8,32

6. Our Hearts “God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.” Luke 16:14,15.

7. Them That Are His “The Lord knoweth them that are his.” II Timothy 2:19.

8. When I Sit Down And Stand Up “Thou knoweth my downsitting and mine uprising,

thou understandest my thought afar off.” Psalm 139:2.

9. How To Deliver The Godly “The Lord knoweth how to deliver to godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished.” II Peter 2:9.

Partnership in Mission: A Biblical/Theological Perspective

Continued...

The Body of Christ – A Whole Made Up of Many Parts Paul makes frequent use of the metaphor of the body in his description of the church. Referring to the body illustrations in Paul’s epistles, Duncan maintains that the church is built upon partnership through body ministry.

One such passage is Romans 12:3-6a, where Paul describes in brief the church as a body, and includes an application of spiritual giftedness:

For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.4For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, 5so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. 6Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us,

each of us is to exercise them accordingly.

The use of imagery of the human body was widespread in the ancient world. Paul was not the first to use this imagery to describe a group of people. However, Paul was very descriptive in using the imagery to communicate the interconnectedness of believers in the church. In this passage he reminds believers that they are, indeed, members of a single body and that they must use their spiritual gifts for the benefit of the entire body.

Paul suggests that it is inconceivable, almost to the point of absurdity, for one part of the body to reject another part. Clearly, no part of the body of Christ has the right to reject another part. The body is an interconnected whole. When an individual part of the body suffers, the entire body suffers. When one part is missing, the entire body is incomplete.

The question becomes whether or not the body principle was intended for the local church only or is it also applicable to the universal church? The immediate context of each of Paul’s letters seems to be the local church. Each letter was written to address specific issues in church life.

However, if context is taken to its extreme, one might assume that the instructions in these letters applied only to the local churches to which they were addressed.

Koinonia – The Biblical Expression of Partnership The Greek noun, koinonia, is most often translated and understood to mean, “fellowship.” For Paul this was the most appropriate term used to describe the unity and bond between Christians. It is a Greek word that has found a common usage even in English-speaking churches in the West. Fellowship is a common principle, even recognized by many today as one of the fundamental purposes of the church.

Interestingly, this noun which is commonly translated as, “fellowship,” may also be translated as, “participation,” or “partnership.” It is translated as such in Philippians 1:3-5 in the NASB: “I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always offering prayer with joy in my every prayer for you all, in view of your participation in the gospel from the first day until now.”

And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch. Acts 11:27

Page 35: WISDOM FOR THE HEART

Dr. Atul Aghamkar

In the New International Version (NIV), the same passage is translated: “I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.”

It seems that koinonia is the New Testament word that is nearest in meaning to the English word, “partnership.” Warren concurs with this translation, stating that koinonia indicates both partnership and intimate fellowship. The term expresses a two-sided connection, and it assumes that a brotherly relationship exists among believers. This connection includes purpose and results, such as giving, sharing property, and breaking bread. Cueva suggested that biblical partnership includes, in addition to sharing in common projects and sharing of gifts and resources, the sharing in suffering. This is an interesting insight, and one that is much needed in the North American church.

Though some interpret this passage as a specific reference to a financial gift from the Philippian church, it is much more likely that Paul had a broader intent. Again, this is a passage from a letter directed to a single local church, but with principles applicable to the universal church.

Interestingly, there seems to be a functional disconnect between fellowship and partnership among some Christians in the church in North America, as evidenced by another comment by the same pseudonymous respondent to my previously mentioned article on

crossdenominational theological training. This commenter elaborated on his sentiments by saying:

I could not start a seminary with a Catholic, nor with a Methodist. That’s why I could not start Churches with a Pentecostal, nor with a Presbyterian. I wish that they would see the light and believe sound, Bible doctrine. But alas, they wont. They are sold out to tongue speaking, and baptizing babies, and sprinkling, and worshipping Mary and the Saints, and Arminian theology, etc. That’s why I cannot start Churches with them, nor would I want CP (Cooperative Program) dollars, nor my church’s money, going towards starting a seminary with them. Fellowship with them. Yes. Of course. Treat them good. Yes. Of course. Pray for the nation or the town with them. Yes. Of course. Start a food and clothes pantry ministry with them. Yes. Of course. But, when it comes to making sure that the true Gospel is being preached, and Pastors are being trained to teach their people, and churches are being started that will influence people and areas with the truth of God’s Word; then no.

This commenter seems to believe that he can choose to reject partnership with certain believers, but at the same time he can have fellowship with them.

I submit that, from the linguistic and contextual evidence, the two concepts are not separable. If we share the same Lord, claim the same faith, and are indwelled by the same Holy Spirit, then we must be open both to partnership as well as fellowship. They are two sides of the same coin. This is the very heart of biblical koinonia.

Finally, the fact that this passage refers to a fellowship and partnership across a great distance cannot be denied. Paul wrote this letter during his imprisonment in Rome. Paul’s partnership began when he was physically among the Philippian believers. It continued as he traveled, even until he was incarcerated in Rome. Clearly, this notion of fellowship and partnership is not limited to the environment of a single local church.

The principle of koinonia is an important element of our missions efforts and strategies. As such, we cannot ignore the biblical mandate to serve in partnership with other believers, even across great geographic and cultural distances, within the mission of God.

A God-Centered Outlook on the ChurchPhilippians 1:3-11

I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. 6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. It is right for me to feel this way about you all, because I hold you in my heart, for you are all partakers with me of grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel. For God is my witness, how I yearn for you all with the affection of Christ Jesus. 9 And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, 11 filled with

the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

In1858,ascientificexpeditionpassed through what is today known as the Grand Canyon. After viewing the area, one of theofficersonthisexpeditionwrote the following in his official report: “This regionwe last explored, the Grand Canyon, is, or course, altogether valueless. It can be approached only from the south, and after entering it there is nothing to do but leave.Ourshasbeen thefirstand doubtless will be the last party of whites to visit this profitless locality. It seemsintended that the Colorado River, along the greater portion of its lonely and majestic way, shall be forever unvisited and undisturbed.” So much for vision and perspective.

As Paul wrote his letter to the Philippian believers, he sat in a Roman prison. It could have been a gloomy experience with a perspective much like

A MInISTRyRenewHow Do You stARt oRHow do I know when God is closing a door

versus satan blocking it?

that of the officerwhomadehis Grand Canyon report. Yet, Paul reveals a differentoutlook on life and ministry.

From this, the church would gather strength.

It was during Paul’s incarceration in Rome that he wrote letters to the Ephesians,

Colossians, Philippians, and to Philemon. As in Philippi, he was imprisoned for his work

in the gospel. Yet, this wasin Rome. It was not Philippi. The prison was bigger and more secure. Although Paul was confident that he wouldbe released, the Philippians were unsure. Therefore, as this epistle testifies, theysent out Epaphroditus with a financialgifttohelpPaulandto discover his status. Along the way, Epaphroditus became ill and almost died. The church in Philippi heard of Epaphroditus’ misfortune and sent out another messenger to inquire of his health.

GOOD nEWS 360+

Rev. G. Billy JudsonM.B.A., M.A.C.M., (USA)

Dear Readers,

Good News Bible College & Seminary had a “dream fulfilled” with Good News 360+ National Women’s Conference on 8, 9 & 10 of August 2017, in order to consolidate Women and her Biblical role in a man’s life.

We praise God for all the 270 delegates from all over India. The six International women speakers made a tremendous impact: 1) Kokila Desai, 2) Ananthi Jebasingh, 3) Kamala Chiranjeevi, 4) Leela

Manasseh, 5) Suman Aghamkar and 6) Christine Butler, with their major topics like Church, Responsibilities, Evangelism and Missions, for all three days held at Ashirwad Global Training Center, Hyderabad.

Theme: Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding. (Proverbs 23:23). It has given us a deeper understanding of the need for ministry to women and her role in man’s life, at home and in the church to share the Gospel. Our visions are eloquent proof of the opportunities that God is giving us to share “Each one, Teach one and Reach ten.” They taught us Biblically, word by word and their Biblical exposition is really good and highly appreciated. Most of their teaching are spirit-filled, heart touching messages brought through their personal experiences, are highlighted.

Most of the participants were immensely blessed through the general sessions and workshops. Every one, were gratified and expressed their feedback comparing to the present world events and women’s present lifestyle in man’s life, at home, in the church and society to follow the Biblical scriptures and practical exposition on women, as written in The Holy Bible.

Practical testimony with God’s promises in women’s life was created by God through these eminent speakers, with a purpose. We learned that they are only helpmates to their husband’s to fulfill God’s design in man’s life and confessed their previous lifestyle as women. Everyone, was so blessed by their teachings, and requested Good News 360+ National Women's Conferences regularly every year, to enrich their spiritual life, so that God’s purpose may be fulfilled in our hearts.

We intent to create a new life to prosper mankind by submitting as women for the glory of God. Please pray with us and give us your valuable suggestions and guidance on how to reach many other women and to create awareness of the vision “Good News 360+.” I am trusting God to use us for the day that every Indian will have “One Fair Chance to respond to the Gospel Of Jesus Christ”.
