2013 WDVCB Annual Dinner
The 2013 Wisconsin Dells Visitor & Convention Bureau Annual Dinner will be held on Sunday, April 28 at Chula Vista Resort. A cocktail
reception will begin at 5:00 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m., followed by the WDVCB presentation which highlights 2012 efforts and successes as
well as offers a snapshot of what's to come in 2013.
The price per person for dinner will be just $15 and the dress will be business casual. Once again, the Bureau is sharing the cost of the dinner
in an effort to both encourage more members to attend and to help offset added expenses.
Invitations will be mailed in early April and we encourage WDVCB members to attend.
If you have questions regarding the upcoming annual dinner, please contact Wendy Fischer at (608) 254-7180, ext. 302 or

Which Guests Will Sing Your Praises?
From time to time we get requests from reporters wanting to interview travelers to the area. Could be for a story on multi-generational
travel, or couples traveling to the Dells without kids, or guys on a golf getaway, or girlfriends on a spa escape. Do you keep a list of your
most loyal guests, those who would be great ambassadors for your business? While reporters will often interview owners and managers,
what can really make a story sing is when they can hear firsthand from guests who loved their experience in Wisconsin Dells. Consider
keeping a running list of your biggest fans to use when reporters come knocking.

Pinterest? What Does All This Pinning Mean to Me?
Pinterest is a digital bulletin board that gives users the freedom to collect and share images and links that they find particularly interesting,
appealing or inspiring. As soon as a user shares a link, its corresponding image becomes a “Pin” that can be organized further by specific
“Boards” that you can create to cover any topic. Other Pinterest users can then like or “repin” your images or links directly onto their own
boards.
A recent study by Fast Company concluded that the majority of Pinterest users were women between the ages of 25-34. The site receives
close to 2 billion page views every month, with the average Pinterest visit lasting around 15 minutes. That’s longer than the time spent on
Facebook and Twitter combined!
In terms of business, over eighty percent of the top Pinterest categories are directly related to commerce. So what are some ways that you
can appeal to the Pinterest audience? Well it’s all about visualizing your services, products, and brand while applying a few of these tips and
tricks.
If you have quality photos and video, start with that first
Hire a photographer or take professional pictures
The easiest way is to simply repin content on Pinterest – it doesn’t always have to be about your products and services but
something your customers are interested in.

As we rely on technology and the use of email more and more at the Wisconsin Dells Visitor & Convention Bureau, we wanted to remind you
