DRESSING UP
THE
SNOWMAN
Materials: foam rubber
Instructions: Cut the snowman outline and clothes from the colourful foam sheets or cardboard paper. You
can also cut or draw snowman’s eyes, nose and mouth. Pre-teach the clothes vocabulary. Let your kids play
Dressing up the Snowman Game. You can use these songs: I’m a little snowman and Put on your shoes
together with this game. Play the first song and ask kids to dress up the snowman. They only use hats and
scarves. Then play the second song and ask kids to do the same. This time they also use shoes and jacket.
After that you or one of the students can give instructions and the rest of the group has to dress up the
snowman, eg. Put on your/a red/orange/… scarf / hat / jacket / shoes. Take off your//a red/orange/… scarf

You can either play a traditional domino game or modified version. In the modified version the cards are all put face up and the students simply pick
a card that matches the one that has already been chosen, give the name of the object on the card and put it in an appropriate place.

WHAT
COMES
NEXT?
Students complete the pattern either by drawing the next picture or putting a
sticker in the correct place. To prepare the stickers just print them out on the
sticker paper and cut out. Here’s a set of stickers for 10 students. If you need
more, just print more copies of the stickers’ page.

I have
Who has
Ask students to sit in a circle, you can use Make a circle song from Super Simple
Songs:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALcL3MuU4xQ
Pass out the cards to students. Choose a student that starts the game. He/She
reads his/her card and puts the cards on the floor, in the middle of the circle so
that everyone can see it. The person with the correct card reads his/her card
and puts it next the previous card. The game continues in the same way until all
the cards are placed on the floor one by one.

Mitten
Matching Game
To make this mitten matching game it is needed to print out the mittens outline,
snowmen and number cards. Then number cards should be glued on one of the
mittens in a pair and the corresponding amount of snowmen on the other. The
mittens should also be laminated and cut out. The aim of the game is to pair up
the number mittens with the snowmen mittens. They can also be used for
memory game in the same way as the plastic bottle caps memory game.
