Roughly 60,000 workers were part of the class action suit for which the trial had been scheduled to begin at the end of May. The settlement, disclosed in a court filing on Thursday, did not reveal the terms, but the plaintiffs had argued that the lost wages added up to $3 billion. The case began in May 2011, when a former Lucasfilm software engineer filed suit against the four tech companies as well as Lucasfilm, Pixar and Intuit alleging they had violated federal antitrust laws by conspiring for several years to suppress the pay of employees with their non-poaching agreement.
