2016 MILESTONE ACHIEVEMENTS
As a Firm focused on strengthening IT GRC processes, skills and technology through the implementation of global best practise
standards, frameworks and methodologies, we had already tasted our own pudding as the only professional services firm certified to the ISO27001 (global Information Security Management System) Standard. To ensure a quality culture is pervasive across the Firm’s operations and to demonstrate this, the Firm chose to implement and get certified to the very latest version of the ISO9001:2015 standard Quality Management System. The journey was challenging yet enriching and intriguing as it is one of those where a destination is never reached. Indeed, the 2015 version is a significant upgrade from the earlier version given the following key differences:
- The most noticeable change to the standard is its new structure. ISO 9001:2015 now follows the same overall structure as other ISO management system standards (known as the High-Level Structure), making it easier for anyone
using multiple management systems.
- Another major difference is the focus on risk-based thinking. While this has always been part of the standard, the new version gives it increased prominence.
The differences bring about the following benefits:Ÿ Puts greater emphasis on leadership
engagement Ÿ Helps address organizational risks and
opportunities in a structured manner Ÿ Uses simplified language, a common structure
and terms, which are particularly helpful to organizations using multiple management systems, such as those for the environment, health & safety, or business continuity
Ÿ Addresses supply chain management more effectively
Ÿ Is more user-friendly for service and knowledge-based organizations
We are therefore proud to announce we achieved certification to the ISO9001: 2015 (QMS) standard in Q4. In the prevailing harsh economic environment, this is a notable, undeniable, tangible attestation to our unflinching belief in quality as a code of conduct and long term service differentiator. Further, our QMS certification demonstrates that our processes have been
