• Steady rallied from a 14 point half time deficit to defeat the Mix 102 to 79. Pete Jones led the Steady in scoring in the pivotal third quarter with 12 points. Starting forward Kevin Williams of the Mix was ejected shortly after the start of the 4th quarter for arguing a call by head referee Travis Douglass. With their explosive seventh game performance, the Steady wins the best of 7 series, 4 games to 3, after blowing a commanding 3 game to none lead. The Steady was led in scoring by Pete Jones and Michael Chambers who both had 21 points apiece. Ashley Smith, Tracy McGift, and Carl Garner also scored in double figures with 19, 18, and 15 points respectively. When series MVP Michael Chambers was asked about Steady blowing a commanding 3 game lead and then finding a way to win game 7, he said, “We knew we had everything working against us and we knew if we were going to turn this around in the decisive third quarter we were going to have to do it ourselves. So we just made a conscious effort to defend every play and execute our offense in the third quarter.” The Mix was led in scoring by Marcus Powles who had 25 points and hauled down 15 rebounds. Byron Wagner was the only other Mix player to crack double figures in scoring. He finished with 14 points.
