Dragon’s Den Star Coming to Winkler! Winkler, MB. December 10,2010 ‐ Betty Hiebert, President of the Winkler & District Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Robert Herjavec, star of the hit TV series Dragon's Den will be the guest speaker at the Chamber's 2011 Gala Dinner & P.W. Enns Business Awards Evening on April 14, 2011. Mr. Herjavec will be speaking about Lessons from the Den. At the age of 8, Robert and his family left Croatia, sailing for Canada in hopes of creating a better life for them. They arrived in Toronto with a single suitcase, no job prospects, $20 to their name and dreams of success. Robert shared his parents' dream and his had no limits. From delivering newspapers to waiting on tables to launching a computer company from his basement, he applied his immense energy and ambition with outstanding success. Today, he is President of The Herjavec Group which has achieved a ranking in the prestigious Profit Magazine Ranking of Canada's 100 Fastest Growing Companies three years in a row. In addition to Dragon 's Den, he also stars on ABC‐TV' s hit show Shark Tank. In yet another achievement, Harper Collins has published Robert's views on his personal and business success in a book aptly titled Driven. The book was published 3 months ago and has been a national bestseller for the last 3 months.
