Wine Education and TastingThere are several minor changes for 2018, the biggest one is to move both sessions to one day and have tasting both in the afternoon and evening. Several existing Galas at other locations in the Maritimes follow the same format. The main reason for this change is to save money to give more to the deserving charity, this year The Josie Foundation. The Rodd Miramichi is providing a dinner special at The 1806 Restaurant, two appetizers for the price of one to each couple, only for the 2:00–4:00 P.M. session.

Again this year the Photo Booth will be up and running and we will again have 50/50 draws both sessions. The Rodd Miramichi is generously donating two weekend get-a-ways to any Rodd resort. Don’t forget to write your name and telephone number on the back of your ticket…. You could be the lucky winner of the door prize. The Rodd is supplying entertainment in their Restaurant after the evening 7:00-9:00 P.M. session. Don’t forget Miramichi Transit buses will be available or both sessions at no cost for your convenience.

The Rodd Miramichi and The Rotary Club of Chatham are limiting the number of tickets to 250 per session. That means you will have the opportunity to awaken the senses and educate the palette, by sampling many different beers and wines, served by experts in their fields. Take the time to ask questions and use this program to take notes about your favorites.

Finally remember to say a thank you to the Wine & Beer Representatives for giving up all or part of their weekend to be with us. Let them know you appreciate it. Thanks to everyone for your help in making these events a success.
