Sideload sash are marine glazed and can accomodate insulated glass thicknesses of 5/8” to 3/4”. Single glazing options include 1/8” and 1/4” glass. Cam type sweep lock comes in two different styles and can work in conjunction with limited travel devices. Certified STC (sound transmission control) ratings range from 28 to 41.

31/4” DepthCommercial / Heavy Commercial models available in single and double hung. C-45 model offers tilt-in sash. Cam types sweep locks, integral lift rails, gravity latch on top sash and the ability to double balance sash gives us the ability to manufacture large, wide windows which allow you to replicate existing openings without changing a buildings appearance. Historical lift rails simulate tall sills of yesteryear. HC-40, HC-50, and AW-50 models comes as a single hung side load and can accomodate 1” glazing. Perfect for high rise or multiple story applications. The 8100 Series and 8150 Series incorporates the design and aesthetics perfect for historical replication projects requiring hung windows.

STC ratings range from 30-48 and OITC ratings range from 22-35.

Building GreenIn the last few years, the Build Green movement has ascended into the mainstream of the American building industry. But, at Quaker, it’s actually nothing new to us. We’re very proud to say that we’ve been offering positive, environmentally friendly products for years. Our windows and doors contain many components that are considered “green”, including glass, aluminum and, in some cases, wood. We’re very concerned about our environment, so we’re working hard to not only use the right materials, but to implement manufacturing practices that will help make our planet better for all of us.

Options

Quality craftsmanship was the driving force for Harold and Marge Knoll when they started making windows and doors in 1949. The next generation of the Knoll family inherited the same respect for quality, apparent in every one of Quaker’s 65 lines of windows and doors in vinyl, aluminum and wood.

Today, Quaker melds old fashioned craftsmanship with the efficiencies of technology to manufacture the best product at the lowest cost. Glass is cut by the computer-driven Optimizer system to minimize waste... in-house testing facilities ensure consistent product performance... a state-of-the-art website provides architects with drawings of installation details (right down to caulk and screw locations)... we deliver finished product with our own trucks and drivers, to assure safe handling.

Quaker’s high-performance products, sold by knowledgable dealers, will continue the tradition started more than a half century ago by Harold and Marge.

Products are tested in-house at random to maintain performance standards and expedite development of new designs.

Extrusion supplies are maintained to meet immediate manufacturing demands.

Glazing OptionsGlass thickness: 3/32”, 1/8”, 5/32”, 3/16”, and 1/4”.

Overall insulated glazing panel thickness: 3/8” up to 1”.Types: Clear, Low-E, bronze, grey, obscure, reflective and sun glass, mirrored, solar-cooled, Heat Mirror®, and other special types.

Panning & TrimQuaker has the correct panning and trim to make installation easy. Historically accurate styles help preserve the aesthetic charm of old buildings. Panning can be pre-applied to reduce on-site labor and avoid field errors. The design staff at Quaker can help you with special panning for unique installation challenges.

Finishes10 Standard ColorsIn the in-house paint facility, electrostatically applied polyester paint is baked-on meeting ANSI/AAMA 2603 specifications.

Custom CoatingsQuaker accomodates customers with virtually any finish. The most often specified options include:

AnodizedAnodic coatings provide excellent color saturation with minimal variation. Weather resistant colors are available from clear to black.

Duranar®With 50% Kynar content, Duranar finishes resist dirt pickup, chalking, fading, and UV degradation. Adhesion, film integrity and flexibility are excellent. Duranar meets or exceeds AAMA 2605 performance specifications.

Fluropon®Fluropon is a full strength 70% Kynar finish for use in the most demanding environmental conditions. Meets or exceeds ANSI/AAMA 2605-90 specs.

GridsGrids, also known as grilles or muntins, can be added to all windows and doors. They can be used to create a unique design or replicate a historical look. Sizes range from 5/8” to 31/2” in flat, raised or beveled shapes. They can be placed between the glass and/or applied to the glass.
