DATEReference: 13/02321/FULLAddress: Carhurly Farm Redwells Dunino St Andrews FifeKY16 8QHProposal: Erection of a wind turbine and access trackhardstanding etc

I wish to register my objection most strongly to this application,on the grounds of scale, location, proximity and noise and a lostrecreational amenity. This turbine added to the many alreadyerected/approved locally, would be against the skyline and have anegative cumulative impact on the open beautiful landscape and onthe visual amenity.

Damage to Landscape CharacterThe rural charm of this unspoilt hamlet and beautiful countryside isa natural asset, used by local people and many visitors to the area. The landscape character and existing wildlife and habitat must be

protected at all costs. This are will become industrialised ifpermission is given to erect a wind turbine. Many birds and bats areinjured or killed by colliding with turbine blades both in the UK andfurther afield. Please do not allow this to happen in the East Neuk. There is no evidence that the development will respect or enhancethe intrinsic character and quality of the natural landscape but willin fact become an industrial blight upon it, possibly forever. The onlybenefits from this turbine will go only to the landowner and ordeveloper, the local community will not benefit and it will produceno jobs after the completion of the construction phase.

Cumulative and Visual ImpactThe proposed turbine would be visible for many miles around andespecially from the surrounding villages and towns. In my opinion, this will visually and aesthetically be extremely intrusive as turbinesdo nothing to improve on the existing landscape character, otherthan to change it forever by sterilising it.

    Location and Proximity

This turbine is planned to be located very close to a hamlet and thiswill impact on the people who live there due to the visual presence, noise, vibration and disruption. These issues could well result inthem suffering with general health problems.

    Conclusion

This proposed development is totally out of character with thepresent unspoilt nature of this hamlet.

This proposal would detrimentally affect the landscape, habitat, wildlife, and visual appearance for the people living in and aroundthe Carhurly hamlet. And this could also be responsible forendangering their health and wellbeing in future years.

I hope you will refuse planning consent for this proposed windturbine development.

    Yours faithfullyNAME
