Year after year, Winchester Archery has developed new and exciting products. However, this year the company has gone above and beyond just generating new models. With the tremendous influx of states legalizing the use of crossbows, new rules and regulations have followed. In many states, walking out of the woods after legal shooting light with a cocked crossbow is considered hunting after dark. Even more concerning is discharging your crossbow in the dark to unload it. Winchester Archery has developed a crossbow that uses Winchester’s patented technology. Integrated into the crossbow stock, a revolutionary hydraulic mechanism unloads your crossbow without ever having to fire a bolt. No other bow company utilizes this technology. The new 2015 Winchester Dark Horse is tactical, sleek and boasts plenty of muscle with its 375 fps trajectory. It is the hottest crossbow of 2015.

Honoring strong demands by target archers, a new bow model was born. A 36 inch axle-to-axle target bow was developed especially for the serious competitor. This unique model boasts a huge forgiving 7-inch brace height, complete with AST Zip cams, offering a smooth draw cycle and a rock solid back wall.Utilizing the patented Pro Link Pocket System, the bow shoots vibration-free, “dead-in-the-hand” as the term goes, and virtually silent. This engineering-marvel is the ultimate target bow, and is destined to exceed the expectations of any shooter. The new Thoroughbred is available in two patterns, Moonshine’s Outshine or Target Shooter red with black limbs.

There are twins this year at 31 inches axle-to-axle. The Varmint and Minx sport the same riser design, yet different camo-patterns, cams and modules. Both bows are available in draw lengths from 24 inches to 30.5 inches. The weights can be selected at peaks of 50 and 60 lbs on the Minx, and 60 and 70 lbs. on the Varmint, yet may be backed down a full 16 lbs. from peak weights using the patented Pro Link Pocket System.

As an all-American company, we use only American-made components and all stainless steel hardware. You’ll find that our limb pockets, and other structural parts, aren’t made of inferior plastic materials, instead they are made with the finest Aluminum alloys, machined and anodized. Shooting a bolt in order to unload a crossbow is not only inconvenient and noisy, but also poses a less than desirable safety situation. In some states, it is illegal to carry a loaded crossbow from the field after dark, making it mandatory to unload/decock your crossbow. The new Winchester Dark Horse provides a fast and simple solution for unloading.

Utilizing an internal hydraulic cylinder, the Dark Horse uncocks quietly, easily and most of all...safely. The unique patented technology accomplishes this without gases, electricity or ropes. Combined with Winchester Archery’s decocking technology is our AST-X two track cam system and our heavy duty machined 6061 aluminum riser. The result is one hard hitting crossbow!

Camera-quality, multi-boated lenses inside the large 30mm scope body will squeeze out every last minute of daylight so you can enjoy the hunt that much longer. The Evolution FFP is absolutely the best crossbow scope you can buy.

WXB-Illuminator: The Winchester Illuminator features a multi-line reticle ideally suited for crossbows. Aptly named the Ideal-X, the reticle offers a traditional crosshair aiming point for each distance without the “pricket fence” look that clutters other multi range crossbow scopes. Tapered crosshairs draw your eye quickly to the center and aiming points out to 70 yards allow you to get the most from your high-performance crossbow. Unbreakable glass-etched reticle can be illuminated in two colors at 5 different brightness settings. This scope includes flip-up lens covers.

WXB-3: The WXB-3 is a crystal clear, 3-power scope that offers a wide field of view and excellent light gathering ability. The uncluttered reticle has aiming points out to 70 yards with a “peak of trajectory” mark to indicate the highest point of arrow trajectory. Scope includes flip-up lens covers.

Kwik-Shot: The Kwik-Shot is an electronic dot sight with no magnification. Three dots, in either red or green, are adjustable through 5 brightness settings. These 3 dots are spaced to give high performance crossbows an aiming point at 20, 30 and 40 yards. Rapid target acquisition and great low light visibility make the Kwik-Shot a good choice for thick, dense cover.

Pro-Grip Rope CockerThe most important step in getting top accuracy from your crossbow is to cock it consistently. Using the Pro-Grip rope cocker on your Winchester Archery crossbow (or any other brand) will allow you realize the crossbow’s full accuracy potential; not to mention the reduced wear and tear on the shooter as it will reduce cocking effort by approximately 50%. The comfortable no-slip grip and deep finger grooves make this the most secure and easy-to-use rope cocker on the market.

Quivers

The quivers are rock solid when mounted on the bow, but easily detachable when the need arises. Upper and lower grippers work as well for mechanical heads as for fixed blades, and keep arrows firmly in place. Available in three camo choices to match Winchester Archery bows.
