I hope everyone had an enjoyable summer spending time with family and friends. I look forward to seeing all our Wildcats return on TUESDAY, August 10th. Our theme for this school year is "Learning Rocks at Wilson Elementary!" We will continue to follow safety guidelines while ensuring our students increase and strengthen their student performance. Our teachers are ready to "tune" into each of their students and "strike a chord" of student success as we strive for a record-breaking year. In our classrooms this year we will continue to implement frequent hand washing and provide ample hand sanitizers. The use of mouth coverings is optional for staff and students. Our district will closely monitor CDC guidelines and we will follow the decisions of our school board. In addition to following pandemic guidelines, we will also follow safety and security guidelines. Parents are not permitted to walk students to class in the mornings. Parents (and all visitors) may attend conferences, meetings, and other planned events once they sign-in at the front office. A valid ID is required. For the first day and weeks of school we will have additional staff in the halls to meet and assist students with getting to class. We are looking forward to the return of in-person events and are ready to partner with you for the best year yet! Students have daily agendas for communication. We will also send a bi-weekly Smore newsletter. The school must have your updated cell phone number in order for you to receive it. Information will also be available on our PTA Twitter/Facebook accounts, and on our school website. Again, welcome to the new school year. Welcome to the new school year!
I hope everyone had an enjoyable summer spending time with family and friends. I look forward to seeing all our Wildcats return on TUESDAY, August 10th. ¡Bienvenidos al nuevo año escolar!
Espero que todos hayan pasado un verano agradable con familiares y amigos. Espero ver a todos nuestros Wildcats regresar el MARTES 10 de agosto. Nuestro tema para este año escolar es "¡Learning Rocks en Wilson Elementary!" Continuaremos siguiendo las pautas de seguridad mientras nos aseguramos de que nuestros estudiantes aumenten y fortalezcan su desempeño estudiantil. Nuestros maestros están listos para "sintonizar" con cada uno de sus estudiantes y "tocar la fibra sensible" del éxito estudiantil mientras nos esforzamos por un año récord.
En nuestros salones de clases este año continuaremos implementando el lavado de manos frecuente y proporcionaremos desinfectantes de manos en abundancia. El uso de cubiertas bucales es opcional para el personal y los estudiantes. Nuestro distrito supervisará de cerca las pautas de los CDC y seguiremos las decisiones de nuestra junta escolar.
