Vincent Finch still held the Icklesham property at the close of the reign of Henry IV. From a subsidy roll dated 2 Jan., 13 Hen. IV (A.D. 1412), printed in the tenth volume of the Sussex Aroliceologieal Society's tFi-ansaetions, we learn (p. 144) that Vincent Fynche had then manors, lands, etc., worth yearly, etc., 30Z.; viz., manor of Eclyshame, 30Z. [? 20Z.], lands, etc., in Nedirfeld, 101. On page 145, we have Richard Orall entered ; and Vincent Finch is stated in the current pedigrees to have married Isabel the sister and heir of that person. But by the middle of the next reign the property of Vincent Finch seems to have been divided, and in a manner which apparently intimates that he left two sons at least, as I think the subjoined extracts will demonstrate :— Lay Subsidies, Cinque Ports, Sussex, No. ^f<f', A° 5 Hen. * According to a Pedigree in Heralds' College she was the daughter of John,not Thomas Finch of Faversham (Berry's Genealogies, Sent, p. 469).' Herfirst husband Peter Greenstreet, gent., owner of the Manors of Plumford andPaynters, in Ospringe, died in March 1585-86 (CJianaery Ing, p.m. A° 28 Blizab.,part 1, No. 67) and in February 1586-87* she married, secondly, Dr. JohnLangworth, Prebendary of Canterbury, by whom she had another family. Shedied in 1633, and in her Will, proved in the Consistory Court at Canterbury,•mentions her sons and daughters, the Greenstreets, and also some of theirchildren, her grandchildren. By above Peter she had issue John, Simon, Eliza-beth, George, Martha, and Peter (born after his father's death).
