Virginia.

I am from the little log cabin in the woods.

I am from the rhododendron, the maple tree.

I am from fall and winter.

I am from mimi’s homemade cookin and her homemade pumpkin pies, from Turek and Williams and Edgell.

I am from the big family gatherings and the holiday traditions.

From monsters in your closet and the tooth fairy not being real.

I am from a family of Christians who worship God everyday.

I'm from Morgantown, where the mountaineers play.

From the coal mines, to chillin on a dirt road.

I am from grandma making homemade ice cream, to a family of six who loves to travel and go on vacation.

I am from a family who loves to be with each other.
