WILL
• Will + Verb is used in the following ways:
• 1. PREDICTION = describing something we know, or expect, will happen• Ex: It will be windy tomorrow.• There will be rain in some places.
WILL
• DECISION (Expressing a decision about the immediate future.)• Example:• A:’Which bag do you want?’• B:’I will take the blue one,
please.’
BE + GOING TO + VERB
• Talking about plans or intentions (the decision has been made before the moment of speaking).• Example: A:’Do you remember
the job I was talking about? I’m going to accept it.’• B: ‘Ah, good, you’ve made your
mind about it.’
BE + GOING TO + VERB
• PREDICTION OF WHICH WE HAVE PRESENT EVIDENCE• Example: It’s going to rain. (I can see the clouds.)• The doctor said, ‘You’re going to have some surgery.’

•When speaking we often use will and be going to to express intention. But the meaning can be slightly different.

• 1. WILL focuses on intentions formed at the moment of speaking• Example: when we makes a
promise or an offer or ask for a decision:
• i. ‘The bus is gone. What will you do now?’–‘Don’t worry – we’ll order a taxi.’ii. ‘I’ll see you tomorrow, okay? Bye.’
