Clubs
Our clubs will be up and running soon! We strongly encourage our stu-
dents to get involved and sign up for something that interests them. Our
updated club list is on page 3 of this newsletter – please take some time to
review and contact the teacher who is sponsoring the club for more infor-
mation.
Pre-Tests
Our teachers have jumped right in this week as I visited many of our
PLC’s yesterday morning and saw the great work that is already being
planned for in our classrooms! Many of our teachers have already given
pre-tests this week to determine how to plan for our students in their up-
coming lessons. Next Monday through Thursday, students enrolled in
World Language classes will be taking a much more formal pre-test called
SLO (Student Learning Objectives). Please ensure World Language stu-
dents are here during their testing times as this is a state mandated assess-
ment. (Teachers will communicate testing day and time to students).
Carpool
Please help us keep our kids safe! We are telling our students that they
are not allowed to walk to the parking lot (due to moving cars). Students
must wait by the front for the cars to pull up, or parents can park their cars
in the parking lot and walk to the front to get their child. Please support
us with this procedure. Thank you!
Enrollment
Today is our 5 day count and our enrollment is currently at 1332. This
means we are pretty stable and should not earn or lose any teachers –
which means our master schedule should not change. We will update you
if this number changes over the next 5 days.
The Musical Is….
Yes! It’ Aladdin this year!! And yes – I have begged Ms. Suzanne Grant
to let me have a part!! The auditions this year will be held August 19th,
20th and 21st . The show will be on Thursday, November 6th and again on
Saturday, November 8th. Mark the dates on your calendars and encourage
all family members to come!

Student Spotlight
Congratulations!
Rohan Dhume, Alex Campbell, and Anthony Maisano on their win
in the Fulton County STEM DAY Marble Competition in May. They built a track that kept their mar-ble rolling for the longest amount of time
(43 Seconds). Their win secured NMS $150.00 toward the purchase of STEM resource materials. We are very proud of
their achievement!
Staff Spotlight
We would like to recognize our graduation coach, Ms. Michelle Robbins this week.
She wears many hats, but ultimately all her hats relate to one goal and that is to en-sure the success of all our students! Ms. Robbins did a fantastic job this week in dis-
tributing textbooks to all our students – which is not an easy task but because of her dedication and well thought out plan, our students have their books and have al-
ready begun using them! Thank you Ms. Robbins for all that you do for our school!!

ANNOUNCEMENTS
SLO Testing for all World Language
Students
Next Monday through Thursday, students enrolled in
World Language classes will be taking a pre-test as-
sessment during one class period called SLO (Student
Learning Objectives). The primary purpose of SLOs
is to improve student achievement at the classroom
level. An equally important purpose of SLOs is to pro-
vide evidence of each teacher’s instructional impact
on student learning. This allows teachers to plan for
student success by ensuring that every minute of in-
struction is moving students, teachers, and schools
toward the common vision of exemplary instruction
and high levels of student academic growth. Please
try to ensure World Language students are here dur-
ing their testing times as this is a state mandated
assessment. (Teachers will communicate testing day
and time to students).
